Don Don Strathfield — Restaurant in Sydney

This is definitely the worst korean restaurant I have ever dined in. I love korean cuisine, thus, were very excited to dine here but left totally frustrated with both the food and dreaful customer services. For sure, one of the worst experience. Terrible!

Took a longggg time for the food to be served. Cold noodle was really really plain. No taste, no flavour at all in the broth. Feel like just cold water. Ordered jok bak and bossam combo which came in a very small portion. Just a layer of meat and all hock bones underneath. The worst part was the lettuce wrap tray. Salad was super sour with too much dressing. They literally gave us 3 lettuce leaves to wrap the whole combo of jokbak and bossam. Ridiculous! Not even enough for our group to have 1 wrap each let alone the whole meal. I asked the staff and she said that the tray just comes with 3 leaves. I found it unbelievable and asked to talk to the manager. Then a guy named Kevin came out and spoke to me in a very horrible manner and tone. He justified it by saying how expensive the lettuces are and some people dont like eating jokbal and bossam wrapped with veggies. I was just so shocked and frustrated with his awful manner and the way he handled the issue. Super destructive. Just cant understand how a restaurant can operate with such dreaful attitude from the manager and the staffs. No skill needed but just a decent etiquette can change the situation. Definitely not worth $60 for the jokbal and bossam combo at all. You should try out bossam at Myeongdong restaurant in north strathfield to see the difference in both food and customer service. Its a whole new level. Compared to this lettuce tray, I would say at Myeongdong, they give you the whole garden of lettuce and all other veggies to wrap with.

The experience we had here really ruined our night so we just quickly finished the meal without ordering anything else and went somewhere else to eat.

Totally a disaster with horrible customer service and food. Definitely not ever coming back here for sure. Not recommended at all. They really dont deserve it. Just dont come here if you dont wanna be...

Worst restaurant in Strathfield. We ordered the hotpot and waited for over one hour. The most terrible services in the whole Sydney. We will never come back again and definitely share this terrible experience with other people.

Please refer the reply below : 1 - Please go and check the order, it was over 40 mins 2 - I am sorry to hear about your chef and hope they have a speedy recovery. However is does not explain how a table that came in later was able to receive their meals earlier while we waited for over one hour. 3- I did not have any personal issue with the waiter themself but rather the service received. I simply asked about my order, not being told about the issue in the kitchen and being told it's coming and after asking again it will be 5 minutes but nothing arrived. So after an hour's wait, I asked for my order to be cancelled, he tried to make it personal by saying I was being angry with him when I simply asked for my order to be cancelled. Luckily we reserved before coming. We have 8 of us. It is super long queue, so you know what to do next time.

Environment 5/5 Spacious restaurant and not too cramped. The sign is quite confusing, we went to the wrong entrance at the main road, it is at the side instead.

Starter dish 5/5 Other than the pickled chilli, which I can’t really accept, it is sour and sweet. Vermicelli is good, refilled a few time.

$168 bundle 5/5 This is quite worth it, with the kimchi, fried chicken, rice cake, pork, steam egg, seaweed rice and army stew. All taste good but we din managed to finish the army stew as it came last, we are all full already.

Cold noodle 5/5 Personally think that this is quite nice, noodle texture is just right and the gravy taste good. Spiciness just right, full of flavour.

Will I come back again? 5/5 Yes definitely, there’s a few dishes I want to try as well especially the cheesy chicken that I saw many ordered.
