I recently had the unparalleled pleasure of dining at the esteemed Tomoya, where I was thoroughly enchanted by their exceptional Spicy Pork Katsu. This gastronomic marvel presented an exquisite interplay of textures and flavors, with the pork flawlessly rendered to perfection—a delectably crisp, golden crust enveloping a succulent, tender interior. The spicing was artfully balanced, imbuing the dish with a sophisticated piquancy that accentuated rather than overshadowed its inherent richness.

The presentation was nothing short of a visual and culinary masterpiece, each component meticulously curated to delight both the eyes and the taste buds. The dish was accompanied by a selection of artisanal pickled vegetables and a divinely crafted dipping sauce, each element contributing to an intricate and harmonious symphony of flavors.

The ambiance of Tomoya, with its refined decor and tranquil atmosphere, provided an impeccable setting that further elevated the dining experience. The attention to detail in both service and presentation was exemplary, reflecting a commitment to excellence that is truly rare.

For the discerning connoisseur seeking an unparalleled culinary experience, Tomoya's Spicy Pork Katsu is an unequivocal must-try. It stands as a testament to the pinnacle of culinary artistry, offering a dining experience that is both profoundly memorable and...

SAVE YOUR HEALTH! I used to go to this restaurant frequently when I was in uni few years back, however the quality and the standard of food has significantly dropped! I don't usually write reviews for restaurants, however this one had to be done. My partner and I went here to have a late lunch, we ordered 2 chicken katsu stone bowls and the chicken served in my partner's bowl was RAW to the point it was pink and bloody! We kindly asked the waitress to take it back which she did happily, however the boys cooking in the kitchen seemed to have no idea how long the chicken needs to be cooked for in order to avoid getting their customers sick. After sending that dish back, we received the SAME chicken back as the raw chicken was just placed on the stove and cooked again for extra minutes. We ate whatever we could from the bowls leaving most of the chicken aside as it was still abit raw, We were disgusted from the fact that the contaminated food was served again and seeing the chicken to that extent. After 7-8 hours later my partner got extremely sick as he had food poisoning after eating the raw and contaminated food from this restaurant. Keep your family's health safe and visit the other decent restaurant that keep their customers health in mind around Strathfield. Extremely...

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch. It was really bad. This is honestly one of the worst places I've tried. We ordered 4 dishes - the shoyu ramen, vegetable okonomiyaki, boiled squid and teriyaki chicken. The ramen broth was okay, but really oily. The ramen was actually the best dish we had and it was average at best. The vegetable okonomiyaki was really floury, dense, soft and unpleasant. It was drenched in sauce and mayo, that's all we could taste. It was sauce, mayo and dough. The teriyaki chicken was pretty disappointing. Chicken was bland, rice with sauce was bland. Lots of colour and vegetables but so bland. Why is it so bland!! Last, and the worst, was the squid. We both love squid, but it was overcooked and no sauce at all?? No salt??? Nothing? And a really bland salad which had some kind of sauce that was also bland. How do you manage to make everything bland? I'm not trying to be rude, just trying to be honest. Even the soy sauce tasted like it had been diluted??? It was honestly such a strange experience, I ended up laughing about it. But if it were someone else, you could ruin their...

Tomoya is a Japanese & Korean restaurant located within Strathfield plaza. They serve more Korean dishes over Japanese, but there’s still plenty of choices for both. The restaurant is spacious enough to seat approximately 40 people. It’s a very quiet atmosphere with no music or tv displays. Once seated, there is a hard copy menu, but to order you need to scan the QR code (payment made at the end of the meal). The best part eating at a Korean restaurant are the side dishes that normally brought out first as snacks to start the meal. When the main meals are served they came out subsequently relatively quick so you can enjoy all the dishes together. The seafood pancake was the most delicious dish out of all the others we ordered. The ox bone soup was bland and the braised pork belly didn’t looked braised at all. The prices are through the roof, we paid $75 for 3 dishes just for lunch! The average cost per person would set you back $20-40. Overall, food is okay but price is hard to justify when you start paying so much for Korean food.

Newly renovated months ago and it really looks good compare to last time at least place a bit hygiene and looks clean. Very fusion and balanced of dishes in their menu with bits of western greens and sparks of colour from the ingredients. Love their Bibimbab with bits of crunchiness from the veggie added in. Portion is quite big and tasty too. Generous of free entrees while you wait for the main course. They give 6 little plates of everything which include the famous kimchi. Missus had their Soondubu Combo with Donkatsu which was marvellously crispy. Will go back for more for sure. One thing bout it is the meal can be quite pricy compare to the rest of the other Korean restaurant around but hey, it is inside the Boulevard and judging from the rental it might be higher than the rest though.
