Small Doses @ The Hub — Restaurant in Sydney

I got takeaway food here multiple times after my daughter was born.

Its a quick 2 min walk from the RNSH birthing Unit. In a separate building to the Hospital.

Tasty food with a really big selection of prepared wraps, rolls etc and a hot food range.

I had the following.

-Smoked Salmon Roll with Alfalfa, Salad on a nice fresh seeded bun. -Reuben Sandwich on Rye with Saurkraut etc. -Beetroot Falafel Wrap with Salad on a fresh toasted Pita bread which had Zatar oil mix on the outside toasted. -Fresh Mixed Tortelini in a cream sauce. Really nice fresh pasta. And super tasty cream sauce.

These were all in the $15 dollar range. And decent for portion size.

Coffee is also decent. I got a double shot cappuccino for $5. Multiple mornings.

Overall the price range was good considering the other food available around the area. And the convience factor. Id definetly eat the food again.

It was definetly packed at all times by multiple people including people going to the hospital along with many staff who works at the RNSH. So that speaks alot, if many staff are getting their lunch etc here. Was reccomended by one of our midwives for decent food and coffee.

Definetly beats traditional fast...

This places definitely has everything in small doses except for their price. The place is nicely done to attract people but the positives end here. The staff lacks warmth and friendly customer service with no smile even in response, a good reflection of the manager who hangs around with a stern, unfriendly face behind the counter. The coffee is weak and uninspiring. The food is quite expensive for minuscule, keenly measured portion sizes, with staff noted to even remove food out if they have slightly added more. The place is doing business only because of the two large hospitals and the health hub and not much competition around...they definitely take indecent...

Over the past year, I’ve frequented this cafe numerous times and have always been impressed by the friendly staff who go above and beyond to meet your needs. The vegan spinach pockets are absolutely delicious—so much so that I often take some home to freeze. Since the change in ownership, the experience has transformed dramatically. The new management has revitalized the place, and now the food, staff, and service are exceptional—making it my top choice for a meal when I’m at RNSH or simply craving a great bite. It’s unfortunate that the cafe has received negative reviews due to its previous owners, but I can confidently say that it’s now a fantastic spot...
