We arrived at this restaurant ahead of our reservation time. A waitress led us to our table, but the table turned out to be half of a larger setup that normally has two grills. This meant that the two of us had to share just one grill. The seating was extremely cramped as well — we could only sit at a right angle to each other, not face to face. What made it worse was the grill itself. As you can see from the photo, it was so small that it could only fit three tiny foil trays at the same time. We politely asked the waitress if we could switch to a proper table where we could sit facing each other, especially since we noticed that many nearby tables were empty at the time. However, she insisted that all tables were fully booked and refused to help us switch. When we tried to go upstairs to ask the waiter who had handled our booking, the same waitress kept making gestures toward the door behind us — as if to say, “If you don’t like it, you can leave.” When we finally spoke with the waiter, he was very impatient and told us there were no other tables available, only that cramped one. Both staff members had an extremely poor attitude. This was a very unpleasant experience, and I will never come back to this restaurant again!

Went in for dinner and had the deluxe buffet with drinks. Surprisingly, the wagyu here surpassed the quality of the wagyu at our usual go-to Japanese BBQ spot, Kobe Wagyu Yakiniku. The portion sizes of some dishes were a bit ambiguous, leading us to click multiple times. Fortunately, a staff member came to our table and clarified the serving size for the wagyu, preventing us from ordering more wagyu than we could handle. On the other hand, some dishes, like the gyoza, arrived with just a single piece. The service was attentive, and the food was served promptly. While the selection of side dishes was decent, nothing overly substantial stood out. Finding the restaurant can be a bit tricky, as it is tucked away in a laneway. The easiest route is to head towards Martin Place (when you see ANZ, turn left), continue straight, and take a right at Priceline. Follow the path until you reach the entrance, which is located after ascending the stairs. Overall, the customer service provided by all staff members was friendly. Although the older gentleman may come across as a bit brusque, I don’t believe it's intentional.

I went there with friends recently for birthday celebration so we went to the deluxe option ($80/per person), dinner time. I love their wagyu beef, it's really good 🤤. I also tried their sushi and sashimi, they are pretty decent 🥰 I recommended you to eat the grilled salmon sushi (1st recommended among their sushi), grilled beef sushi . I have tried another JBBQ all you can eat but I didn't like their sashimi at all. I can tell due to covid, it's difficult for them to maintain their previous lower price but hot water/tea during winter I think it's reasonable. The grill was a bit difficult to adjust 😥, the heat only focus in the middle so it took a long time to cook when you only have 1 hour to eat. It would take a while for my order to arrive my table. At the beginning it was ok, but I guess later time they become busy so my food arrives slowly. I am happy with the quality of the meat. Hopefully they will improve their menu. I didn't take many photo because I was busy to cook and eat. They have take away menu, I wish I could try for lunch but I don't work in the city anymore.

My boyfriend and I went last weekend for some japanese yakiniku. There were a lot of inconsistencies between the menu posted online, on the restaurant’s window, and also on the tablet we’re supposed to order. At first we were seated in a half table in which we can only sit in an L shape, very awkward because one of us have to sit very near the barbeque. Asked to move, problem solved. But I’m still convinced that no one’s supposed to be seated at that kind of arrangement. And we did already have called ahead for a booking so it’s not like they were unprepared. We got the buffet because there’s no a la carte available. Dishes selections were very minimal compared to other places offering buffet at similar price. The meat were cut very poorly, a lot of them were in a very large chunk, and mostly half covered in fat. Served in the most unappealing way possible, all thrown together. Not sure why only the very centre part of the barbeque gets hot as well, even when we turned the heat up. After this meal, my stomach churned for the whole night whereas my poor boyfriend had diarrhea for 2 days. Not sure if related but it’s just too much of a coincidence I suppose. I used to like this place. Not sure if i’m...

Very bad customer service with the male manager! He was not patient and not friendly with us when he asked if we want BBQ or buffet! We didn’t feel we were welcome and he had showed us a porker face from the beginning to end!

We were told there was 90mins limited time for buffet BUT NOBODY tell us that we would be charge over $20aud if more than 300g of meat left over!!! The manager insisted the staff had told us but none of us heard about that from them!!!! Finally they didn’t charged us but we feel very bad because the manager keep talking how we wasted the food but never wanted to listen to us! We would never leave the food if we know about the surcharge!

The quantity of beef and pork they delivered was a lot more than what we ordered!! We were confused but we tried to finish as much as we can! I tried few times to tell the manager about that when he tried to charge us! But he never listen and just keep blaming at us! We felt so bad and never want to visit this restaurant again!

I found that most of the people who complain about the customer service with this restaurant are Asian! I wonder if the manager present the limited customer service ONLY to...
