Since I've already gave it 5 stars so let's start with "rooms for improvement". The seats are uncomfortable, often the tables still have crumbs on it. The place is crowded & noisy (I literally can't hear my phone rings ... nonetheless quite some customers were working on their laptop the whole time, amazing. That's also the reason why it is hard to wait for a table to sit down & enjoy our food), long queue at the cashier to place our order (worth mentioning ... it was 11 am so it should had passed the breakfast rush already & a bit early for lunch). "Large" coffee is smaller than usual (don't know how small is their regular coffee) & "sub-par" in taste by average coffee shop standard (but I personally prefer weaker coffee so this is not really a criticism, rather just information for your expectation). Tea is recommended if you're a tea drinker ... FYI, they're NOT using tea bags ... which is a breath of fresh air. My boss agreed to try this place only becoz my strong recommendation. Need not to say she had tried many coffee shop before ... & her attitude as "indifferent" at the best. She agreed to give it a bite but clearly stated that she had appetite for just one bite & I've to finish the rest. I've ordered the Banana Croissant (1st time for me too). Surprise surprise. After finished our shared croissant, my boss want me to buy another one right there on the spot for her "to have another bite" ! I think her endorsement is more convincing than mine. So this is a hidden gem too good to pass if you in the neighborhood around Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. Apr 26, 2024 The coffee is still weak & bland, pastry is still great. I could closed my eyes & point, still never disappointed. As shown as the photo, I've spent $13.20. Since they'll add surcharge if I pay with card, I gave him a $20. Then he gave me $5.80 as change !?! Naturally I asked for my dollar back. Gotta take one star off re service. Interestingly, each time this kinda math problem arose, majority would be shortchanged & rarely "long-changed". In theory both errors should have equal chance. But what do I know? & I now understand why people becoming so afraid...
Read moreForget boring hospital cafeteria coffee! This amazing cafe, a stone's throw from the hospital, saved my sanity (and taste buds) for the past six weeks. ☕️
Picture this: you're stressed, hospital visits galore, and all you crave is a decent cup of joe and a pastry that doesn't taste like yesterday's bread. Enter this gem! Their coffee is seriously good – bold, flavorful, and exactly what the doctor (well, not that doctor) ordered. But wait, there's more! Their bakery selection is a delight for the eyes and the stomach. Think flaky croissants, melt-in-your-mouth muffins, and treats that'll make you forget all about those hospital cookies.
The staff? Don't even get me started! They're the definition of energetic and charming. Even when the place is buzzing (which it often is, thanks to its awesomeness), they whip up your coffee in a flash – I never waited more than 5 minutes. ⏰
My personal fave? The almond croissant. It's flaky, buttery, and the almond filling is chef's kiss. I'm already planning my next visit just for that!
So, if you're near the hospital and need a caffeine (and pastry) fix, look no further! This place is a lifesaver (and tastebud saver)! ☕️

Read moreMy experience at Baked by 22 Grams was nothing short of exceptional. From the minute I walked in and spotted a friendly face behind the counter, my friend Maya, I knew it was going to be a great morning. The coffee was carefully crafted and smooth. The massive almond croissant was melt-in-your-mouth magnificent. Its filling was soft and perfectly sweet, with a complimentary topping of crunchy almond flakes. I savoured every. single. bite. Aside from the delicious coffee and pastry, the atmosphere was great. I had planned to sit, people-watch, and do some crossword puzzles. However, almost immediately I sparked up a conversation with a lovely father and daughter from Ireland. Then, they left and I found myself in conversation with a fascinating young man from South Korea. Before I knew it, two hours flew by. I left Baked by 22 Grams with a smile on my face, a satisfied stomach, and a...
