Taste is my go-to, my partner and I (and tons of other locals we know!) come here almost daily for its beautiful food, consistently excellent coffee, and lovely staff. I lived in France for 2 years and the pastry here is on par with the best French pastries (note: if you get it fresh - any pastry, France or no, that hasn't been bought and gets less fresh throughout the day will never be as good at the end of the day, still nice but not perfect, and that's normal!!) The male barista who's usually there in the mornings is the BEST, he makes such good coffee, and their waiters and waitresses are so lovely.
To whoever reviewed and said one of the women wasn't smiling enough: maybe she was tired or having a bad day, this is the 21st century have some empathy and stop asking women to smile for you all the time. If you are having a bad day, take the day off.
Oh and also when I said don’t worry about it and left she gave me the worst look like I asked for...
Read moreI started my morning at this café, ordering a scrambled croissant and an almond croissant (the staff mentioned I would need to wait 2 minutes for the latter). But the food is tasty.
After waiting for 10 minutes, my partner inquired about the almond croissant, and it still wasn't ready. The woman eventually returned with the croissant in her hand and somewhat tossed it onto the table, saying, “Just 10 minutes,” before leaving without offering an apology. I’m not asking for an apology, but where are...
