I had a fantastic dinner last night at Thai Khaen Khoon! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The salmon salad was fresh and light, perfect to start the meal. The soft shell crab was crispy and well-seasoned, while the prawn betel leaf was packed with aromatic herbs and a touch of spice. I especially loved the san choy bow — such a fun and tasty dish with a great balance of textures. The salt and pepper squid was also a highlight: tender, crispy, and addictive. Great service and lovely ambiance made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Food flavour was average and service could be better. We had entrees and mains the main was smaller than the entree servings for the price you pay it was not value you for money. We wouldn’t come back in a rush.

Called up to place a pick up order, and asked what dishes could be proper vegetarian -without shrimp paste or oyster or fish sauce as lots of 'vegetarian' dishes have. I was assured that the three dishes we ordered were fine.

Arrived to pick it up to find that two of the stir fry and noodle dishes were nothing more than some rice noodles with some soy sauce without veggies/tofu/or any other ingredients, not like the cashew and basil stir fry or satay noodles that it was supposed to be. When I asked about it, I was told because we had ordered them vegetarian that's all we got.

When I said I'd asked on the phone that it was possible, how was it that they wouldn't mention that all we would get was a plain box of noodles for $17?!? Super rude service through the whole encounter, and when I asked for the sauces on the side (we had non veg in our party) I was told it would be extra $3. The woman was an absolute horror to deal with and I would avoid this place like the plague if you would like even one ounce of helpful or friendly service. Our family was shocked at how horrid this all was, as they've been dining here locally for years, and will not be doing so...

As a local, have ordered dinner once a fortnight on average over the last 14 months and eaten in about 4 times. Regular dishes always pretty good. Last night, had the fish cakes entree among other things. Told the waitress that everything is always quite nice, but we were really couldn’t eat the fish cakes, tasted like newspaper, felt like rubber. She was pretty dismissive and basically said they are always like that. She obviously passed on the complaint to the manager owner, because when I went to the counter there was an awkward exchange between the 2 and the manager swapped places to give me the bill, I assume in expectation of me refusing to pay for the fish cakes. They charged me for them. $9. Like $4 worth to them? Really disappointed. Will get from Manly Thai now. Treat locals like that, no worries. But I won’t...

Very disappointed with our takeaway order two nights ago when it finally got delivered 1 hour 35 minutes later. When I ordered they said 30 minutes. The wait I can handle but the food was cold and my can of coke was hot straight off the cupboard shelf. The mains meals barely had any meat in each of them, both the chicken and pork!! It’s not like we ordered the duck or seafood, so why so stingy?!? The San Choy Bao filling in the entree was tiny and the 3 measly pieces of lettuce were dead and lifeless. So overpriced. When I called to let them know the lady on the phone just blew me off and did not care. Didn’t hear back from them. We used to order there all the time, we won’t be anymore. Such a shame as they used to be really good. To be honest, 2 stars is...
