Excellent relatively new restaurant in a much needed area. Drummoyne is fairly devoid of good places to eat. Just up from Harris farm it's in a new section with a ribs and burgers and a Cafe and dumpling place. Lovely open plan place with fresh looking decor. French doors are especially nice. First up we ordered fish cakes and they were delicious with a tiny kick. My partner ordered the tom yum chicken and it was excellent and all three of us ate it. Good balance of sweet Sour salty spicy. The calamari was delicious but no sign off chilli and coriander as mentioned. Next up we had penang beef and although the flavours were great albeit a bit sweet the meat was a bit chewy. Best to soak in baking soda first perhaps! The roti was delicious with that sauce though yum. We also had the BBQ octopus which although slightly chewy the flavours were outstanding. Hands down deliciously good. Our definate go to from now on for sure and all that with rice and cokes was 84 dollars absolute bargain! The reason I gave it 5 was I would love to of put 4.5 but you can't lol.

We thought we'd venture out to somewhere new based on the good reviews this place had. It had a casual walk in ambience to it and wasn't too far from home. But we simply found everything here just too sweet. The mixed entrees were too sweet. Didn't need the sweet chilli doing sauces at all. The pad Thai got a little relief from the lemon we were provided on the side, but for some reason this one just didn't have tofu in it. Found that a little odd. The pad see ew was way too sweet, to the point where I couldn't finish the dish and normally I'd finish my food even if isn't delicious. It's like someone drizzled caramel all over it. Not sure why, nothing here was suited to my taste buds. We also had the $10 special cocktails which were just ok. Quite disappointed especially with all the positive reviews. We probably won't return to try anything more given all 3 things we ordered was just overly sugared.

Thai La-ong is an absolute gem! The food here is not only delicious but also great value for money. The lunch specials offer plenty of choices, and every dish we ordered was exceptional. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we had plenty of water and catering to our needs. The Thai milk tea was a refreshing delight, and the chili basil tofu stole the show for me! With ample seating and convenient street parking, this place ticks all the boxes. Can't wait to return – I absolutely love it here!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thai La-Ong Restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Here's why it deserves a glowing five-star review:

Ambiance: ★★★★★

The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is beautifully done with a blend of traditional Thai elements and modern touches. The lighting is perfect, creating a cozy and intimate setting ideal for both casual dining and special occasions. The seating arrangement is thoughtfully planned, providing both comfort and privacy. The subtle background music added to the relaxing ambiance, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Service: ★★★★★

The staff at Thai La-Ong were incredibly attentive and friendly. From the moment we were seated, we felt genuinely welcomed. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations based on our preferences. The service was prompt without being rushed, allowing us to fully enjoy each course. It was evident that the staff took pride in their work and were eager to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. They checked in with us at just the right moments and were quick to accommodate any special requests we had.

Food: ★★★★★

The highlight of Thai La-Ong is undoubtedly the food. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Thai flavors and cooked to perfection. The Pad Thai was the best I've ever had, with a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. The Green Curry was rich and flavorful, with tender pieces of chicken and fresh vegetables. The Tom Yum soup was a delightful explosion of flavors, with the perfect amount of heat and a refreshing tanginess. Each dish was beautifully presented, showcasing the vibrant colors and fresh ingredients. The dessert menu also did not disappoint, with the mango sticky rice being a standout favorite.

Menu Variety: ★★★★★

The menu at Thai La-Ong offers a wide variety of dishes, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, or vegan, there are plenty of options to choose from. The menu includes classic Thai dishes as well as some unique creations that highlight the chef's creativity. The detailed descriptions and pictures made it easy to choose, and there are also gluten-free options clearly marked.

Value: ★★★★★

Considering the quality of the food and the level of service, the prices at Thai La-Ong are very reasonable. Portion sizes were generous, and we felt we received great value for our money. It's clear that the restaurant takes pride in offering a premium dining experience without breaking the bank. They also have a great selection of drinks, including some delicious Thai-inspired cocktails that are worth trying.

Cleanliness and Safety: ★★★★★

In today's world, cleanliness and safety are paramount, and Thai La-Ong excelled in this area as well. The restaurant was spotless, and we noticed frequent cleaning of high-touch areas. The staff adhered to all safety protocols, which made us feel comfortable and secure throughout our meal.

Overall Experience: ★★★★★

Thai La-Ong Restaurant exceeded all my expectations. It's rare to find a place where ambiance, service, and food all come together so perfectly. Whether you're a fan of Thai cuisine or just looking for an exceptional dining experience, I highly recommend Thai La-Ong. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, you are treated to a culinary journey that delights all the senses. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu.

If you're in the area, don't miss out on this gem. Five...
