Little Venice Pizzeria — Restaurant in Sydney

This has got to be hands down the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever gone through. In fact quite frankly should be nominated for the WORST restaurant in the WORLD!

We arrived at 8pm and shown to a table then no one came to take our order, so eventually I had to go and ask someone to come and take the order. We ordered a starter to share and two mains. We were advised that there would be a 25min wait. At 9.30 pm YES, 1.5hrs after we arrived I asked if we could have the food to take away as we’d been there 1.5hrs and no food in sight…. No problem, “it’s nearly ready it will be 5minutes”.

15min later and still no food so I went to the desk to learn the starter and one of the mains were ready and been ready awhile, but they had only just put one of the pizzas in the oven. So when we got the pizza at 9.50 the other orders were stone cold. The couple next to us also had the same experience and asked for their food to be take away after waiting as long as we were.

They apologised and said they didn’t have their usual pizza chef… in which case you should not open the sit down area. We literally waited nearly 2 hrs and two of the meals were stone cold. Totally disgraceful service and quite frankly undefendable…. Actually the worst experience I’ve EVER had at a so called restaurant.

Tasteless mince dumped on tasteless pasta they called spaghetti bolognese Supermarket bought? They just microwaved it. Bleak atmosphere Waste of money .Waitress did her best.Just read your response to my review 😡 Here are the facts all of which are true making YOUR statements false :

It was tasteless . Nothing rude , unfair or false , just a fact So tasteless I QUESTIONED if it was supermarket. I only have one google account and it’s in my name. The OTHER complaint was the person with me ! Facts!

Your response is a cover up You STILL don’t get it! Stop muddying the waters and distorting FACTS! NOT 3 reviews as you falsely claim Just two people giving bad reviews and one of which continues the review under the SAME NAME ! Never did you accept responsibility for bad food badly cooked just focused on a distraction that it was not canned food which I only QUESTIONED! Because it tasted like that . I can cook better at home so why go to Little Venice and pay 3 times the price for inferior meal And you DID microwave it. I saw it. You have 3 microwave ovens . AND empty tomato cans in your kitchen

I don’t often leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience.

I ordered a pizza here a few weeks ago — it was pretty good. Not amazing, but satisfying, and I appreciated all the local recommendations.

On my second visit, my partner and I ordered pizzas at the same time. His came out first, and I waited quite a while for mine, while they served others, including uber drivers. It wasn’t very busy either so that was odd. When it finally arrived, it was burnt. We took it back, and the first thing the staff member said was, “It’s only burnt around the edges, not on the bottom” and lifted the pizza to show us, which I found off-putting.

She did offer to make a new one, which was appreciated, but the initial response from them wasn’t accomodating or professional. I took it home and ate half, but the burnt taste wasn’t very nice, and honestly, I don’t feel like going back.

We try to support local businesses, and I don’t usually complain, but this was disappointing experience for me.
