Thaii Restaurant — Restaurant in Sydney

This is a bit of a well kept 'locals secret' restaurant. We've been going for a couple of years. Other than on a Saturday night (when the head chef is not cooking) this place has incredible food. Equal best tasting Laksa we've ever eaten, anywhere! Great curry and noodle dishes. Our friends all love it too. The staff are lovely and friendly and take away is also great. The prices are extremely reasonable and the servings are generous. I would not hesitate in recommending - except as I said, head chef's night off is Saturday so we just avoid it. All other nights/days - this place is an absolute find (good lunch deals too). Love Thaii - it really is amazing food (except for Saturday's)! I suspect the bad reviews were perhaps from Saturday nights - the Saturday chef cooks a very different way than the head chef. Don't let this deter you - this place has AMAZING food. Very casual setting, but equally no need to dress up! Just go for the food (ex-Sat)...

The atmosphere is truly a beautiful thing. It's warm, cosy, approachable and the sort of place you can be casual or romantic. The weeknights are usually really quiet for eating in. Lots of room for strollers if you have little ones. The service people are the best I have had in years, nothing bougee just really sweet and helpful people that are eager to please.

Now the food- fantastic to be brief but every single thing we have had was impeccable.

My partner is coeliac so we need to be mindful of restaurants that don't understand cross contamination but these guys were so easy and helpful to explain gluten free options.

What we know about gf/ gluten free options available: All curries All stir fries Most noodles Some grills and salads Fried rice Same fryer for everything so cannot get anything advertised as fried.

BYO only- closest bottle shops are fleet street on blues point or the bottle shop...

Consistenty great food. Tried most of the menu now and always been high quality. I used to get take away but it's nicer to sit in and enjoy it, with good lunch time specials, and a nice relaxed vibe for dinner catch ups with mates.

The main dishes are all made to order, so when my mates have needed a few dietry changes hasn't been an issue with the staff always super helpful.

Can't recommend a single dish as everything has been great - so I would say order your favourite Thai dish but also look at some of the rother items you may not have...
