Awful experience to start off with. Walked inside for a booking said hello to who I assumed to be the manager walking past me and she looked at me and ignored me. When one of my colleagues asked her about the booking she just told him to go outside and look for it.
I'm not sure what her issue was as she just lethargically says "next" when you're at the bar and after ordering your beer she slides it under the tap and doesn't even look at you or say anything. She does not smile and was so rude to everyone there.
She noticed kids mucking around breaking plants in the beer garden area and just stopped, stared and walked off.
The food was very average. Buffalo wings are meant to be spicy, there was no spice whatsoever and it was the most average wings I've had in a long time.
The customer service here needs to be SUBSTANTIALLY improved.
Feedback: Workers need to be smiling, greet you, say some sort of "cheers" "have a good one" or something after ordering and actually take you to the table you booked. Really shocked at this level of service.
The manager had very standout eyebrows and English was not her first language not sure where she is from but hope this describes the person and a...
Read moreKitchen staff and wait staff are friendly and the food is tasty! Visited the suburb and crossed the ANZAC Bridge 🌉 for the first time yesterday on a Friday to celebrate a good friend's 22nd birthday! He had the greatest idea to have a themed Murder Mystery Scenario Party and all of us invited had an absolute blast! One of the taps in the Ladies Bathroom was out of order and the bathrooms were a little slippery if I have any complaints....it'll just be three. My Sirloin 🥩 was also tasty but had to many veins/tendons for my liking and it was a little awkward to spit them out in front of a bunch of people I didn't know very well celebrating a mutual friend's 22nd year on this earth! The Lemon Lime and Bitters 🍋 🍹 🍋🟩 was delicious but with a little ice in a tall glass to wash down the hearty meal with!
The layout inside was also one of the coolest, unique and rustic ones I'd ever seen in a Hotel!
Nevertheless feel like I'll be back in Balmain sometime & therefore The Balmain Hotel which is handily right across from...
Read moreWe were in a large group here on a Friday night enjoying a friend's birthday and what a nice surprise it was. A great range of craft beers, wine and cocktails were on offer. In the food department we enjoyed the classic buffalo chicken wings which were cooked perfectly, moist inside & crispy on the outside with a hint of spice and perfect blue cheese ranch sauce on the side. For our mains we shared the garlic prawn & chorizo pizza and the typhoon shelter crab spaghettini. The pizza was delicious with a light crispy base that packed a real flavour punch, the prawn & chorizo were plentiful. The winner on the night was the crab spaghettini which was loaded with crab meat, perfectly seasoned with prawn oil, chilli & a yummy crispy garlic crumb. It was a perfect combination & was simply delicious. A few of our friends tried the steak and chicken burger which were apparently excellent too. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the fast efficient service despite being a busy Friday night & can't...
