What a shame... I had a great lunch during the week and decided on the weekend qe would have my birthday meal at the Bald Rock on Sunday. Happens once a year and this was it ... so we booked the lower Terrace to be outside.. only to find out they swapped our table for a bigger table and put us where I did not want to be jammed in the middle with people shuffeling over everyone. Then to have the roast .. only to find out at 6pm they have run out of the Sunday roast??? Really .. Sunday dinner ?? No roast available... then I order the snags .. they came out like they spent 1 min on the drill .. raw and chewy .. we sent them back only for them to come out exactly the same ... we mentioned this so politely... nothing said ..
GAS ..... no care factor at all .. no follow up .. nothing .. left the food did not want to complain again ..what a shame
Food is so important now .. and thanks for ruining my birthday family meal
Won't be...

Great Irish Trad music 🇮🇪🎵on Sunday every fortnight!!
Amazing food from the restaurant. The staff are better than the best fine dining you may have experienced, yet friendly, flexible, and honest. They made my small birthday gathering a beautiful memorable event!

Well done to the team at the Bald Rock!!

The veggies were a bit flavourless, but luckily the gravy was delish and covered everything. No yorkshire pud either! A Sunday roast CRIME!
The peri peri chicken wings were also a let down, the sauce was more cream/less spice.
In summary, definitely worth a visit for a Guinness, wine or cool drink. Come check out the vibe, but maybe not on an...
