The food and coffee is good however my main issue lies with the head barista at the time Bobby (who I assume is the owner) but has a real attitude problem and needs to be more respectful to customers. Me and my friend had breakfast and as a kind gesture I decided to bring our plates back only to be told off by the barista who told me something like "don't do that, I need space for my coffees" in a very abrupt manner. Me and my mate have always come there as our go to spot mind you I travel far from the beaches but after that spill I am turned off from ever coming back there by that level of service and poor response. Here's a note for you: Try and be more appreciative of your customers just trying to help instead of having a go at them because you're having a bad day. P.s I am also a barista of 13 years experience and I always show appreciation to customers who bring back something as simple as an empty plate. I'm not a worker, I'm a customer. Big difference. Customers are not always aware of where you're supposed to leave a plate. All I was doing was being nice. And I've been coming there a few times but after that, you've left a very...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of visiting The Brightside Cafe and it was an absolutely delightful experience! I enjoyed the Pork Madame with a magic coffee - it was amazing and just the kind of sandwhich you want on a cold rainy day. My partner enjoyed her corn fritters with a side of haloumi and her soy flat white! To top it all of the biscoff brownies are amazing too! They use Nine Yards beans which taste amazing! It's safe to say that The Brightside Cafe serves some of the best coffee on the Northern Beaches.
Despite the cafe being busy during our visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the efficient service. The staff were super friendly and attentive but also managed to deliver our food in a timely manner even through it was the middle of the brunch rush. Bobby and Raj are some of the most down to Earth people who will always take time have a bit of a...
Read moreWe arrived at the cafe at 1.50pm 1st March looking forward to a bite to eat. We went to the counter and asked how it worked. The young girl who was in charge of the tables said you pick a table and take a menu. We did this and right on 2pm we went to order. She then advised kitchen was closed and closed at 2pm. Why did she not say hey just to let you know you will need to be quick as we close at 2pm? I questioned her about not letting us know and she said I can’t remember everything. What sort of answer is that? She was quite defensive and didn’t even attempt to ask the question to the kitchen staff. She needs a lesson in customer service. Even an apology would have sufficed. Disgusting customer service. First time going and now will never be back. This would have been our local but now will be advising everyone not...
