While I can’t fault the workers, security guards, or the quality of the food and service—which were all excellent—our experience took a sharp decline due to the appalling actions of the manager on Saturday night.

Our evening was going perfectly well until the manager decided to approach the security guards—who, incidentally, were in conversation with one of our group members at the time—and asked them to remove us. This was both shocking and humiliating, as our group was not causing any disruption that we were aware about at the time. We had a table booked inside, enjoyed our food and drinks without issue, and had simply moved outside near the fire pits to stay warm and continue socializing.

What makes this even more frustrating is that at no point were we told the area we had moved to was reserved for another party. No one—not the manager or any staff—asked us to leave or even informed us that we were in a reserved space. How could we have known? Had anyone mentioned it, we would have gladly moved without any fuss.

Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager bypassed all basic communication and instructed the security guards to remove us, and we would not have known this if it wasn’t for one of the members in our group being in conversation with the security guards at the time the manager approached with her request. This lack of respect and consideration is deeply disappointing and completely unnecessary.

No one from the party in the reserved area complained to us and we were left entirely in the dark about the situation. Even if there was a sign indicating the reservation, we didn’t see it, and I acknowledge that might have been our oversight. But again, we would have happily moved if anyone had simply asked.

The actions of the manager were not only unprofessional but also completely ruined what had been a wonderful night. It’s beyond disappointing that one person’s poor judgment and behavior managed to overshadow the efforts of the rest of the staff, who were fantastic.

If there were any other reasons on why the manager had felt the need to have our group removed, we were never informed about it prior to her approach to security.

I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously because no guest should have their evening derailed by such poor management with poor...

Held my sisters birthday here and Had a mostly good experience. Staff were very communicative, food was great! However I did have to leave off 2 stars for 2 rather large issues. Sad to say the main reason we had chosen this venue was the view, and it is not list anywhere online or the website that the view is now completely gone and there are walls up completely restricting the city skyline view that this venue used to be known for. I am told this is because of the freeway being renovated and this is not the venue’s fault at all, but I think it would be a good idea to list on the website that the view is now completely blocked as that was our only reason for choosing this place over other lawn bowl venues. Only other problem we had was we had booked a package for the lawn bowls that listed on the website was supposed to include an umpire and a trophy for the winner. After explaining the rules of the game to us the umpire left us, and did not come back for the entire hour and a half we played. We had to keep score ourselves which is fine, but completely unprofessional when we had payed for this package in which we were promised an umpire for the game. We could not find him anywhere until we could see him later waiting tables! I am assuming they were understaffed so he had to go help the kitchen, or maybe they just assume people won’t mind paying for an umpire who’s service we never received! Eventually we even had to go looking around the venue for him so that he would bring the trophy that we were also promised. Honestly ridiculous and did somewhat taint the experience for us. The trophy itself was also broken when it was given to us but that was honestly the least of the problems this place...

I am not one to write reviews as I have owned hospitality venues.

But…. This venue has so much potential however unfortunately the execution in the kitchen for the food is abismal . All 3 burgers ; the kids burger patty was more than pink inside where I got my child McDonald’s after, the other 2 were over cooked,

The fish dish has no flavour but seemed good on the menu.

The Cesar salad was good I have to stay and the girl that made it was absolutely loveley.

The rose sangria jugs were a 1/10 then add the fact it was $40 was ridiculous. The wine used was maybe a $5 bottle with 2 raspberries, 2 lemon wedges. We had 3 other cocktails with guests and none finished their cocktails.

I can appreciate they were a little short on staff - but came in twice for cake plates and then when they finally came. There was so spoons for anyone to eat the cake with.

We drove over a hour for a birthday only becuase it seemed like such a nice location to bring our dog and enjoy a birthday but if you’re spending $500 for food and drinks I’d expect a meal better than that guys.

I’m sorry but whoever the chef is, there is a major issue and seems not capable to execute a venue of that magnitudes service requirements. Maybe they are only a cook and can’t find a chef but reading the previous reviews the consensus seems to be the same. Outsource a food truck to service the food until you can run the kitchen properly otherwise this will be another hospitals venue fail.

Such a shame as it’s such nice spot. I would never write a review but this meal definitely needed it in case whoever owns this venue isn’t actually aware.

Wait Staff were loveley and doing thier best being...

Pretty disappointed at the Mother’s Day bottomless brunch. Should have realised something was off when they were scarce on details and I should have enquired, lesson learnt. No menu on the website, just that there would be a brunch board, and meringue dessert, with free flowing house wine/beer and soft drinks for $75 per adult. Most brunches have more typically light lunch food, not definite breakfast food. Turned up, and the menu surprisingly stated breakfast board (not brunch board as advertised). Might seem petty on my behalf to point out the difference, but most people would know the difference. At 1pm, not keen on eggs Benedict and smashed avocado. Which is what we got. And it was disappointing. And so poorly presented. Food was so mediocre and not good at all. Only ate half of it. Then saw the dessert board, and thought, well, this makes up for brunch. But, no, unfortunately, looked far better than tasted. I was expecting a tapas styled brunch, which is what typically these things are. But, again, my fault for not enquiring prior. At least 2 hrs of it including alcohol, but did not make up for it. The kids at least enjoyed the bowls (they barely touched the food- they were included as kids eat free, not sure how many kids eat eggs Benedict though). Just overall disappointing and really missed the mark . Service was attentive enough.

Save yourselves! Get takeaway. The staff here are relatively friendly but that’s about where the good times end. The drinks menu was more dry than a martini, and that’s saying something. We came ready to celebrate, and so we ordered 4 different cocktails, of which 3 were underwhelming. For entrees we ordered the wild mushroom and goats curd croquettes. The serving size was good actually, and the way they dressed the plate was nice but the filling itself was so lacking in flavour. No seasoning, couldn’t taste the apparent mushroom or goats curd … I’ve had greater culinary experiences from wet toast. For mains we ordered the two top priced mains, the corn fed chicken and the pasture fed strip loin. The only thing stopping me from returning it, was the girl at the pass who couldn’t speak English. The chicken was so over cooked, my partner who cannot cook to save his life - has actually done better. My strip loin was medium rare, and served with the tiniest sliver of butter as a sauce. Served with so-called roast heritage tomatoes (Cherry tomatoes) The steak was cooked properly but still was tough, I don’t think the quality was what the menu advertised, which is disappointing for $38 The whole thing was expensive, disappointing and challenging to consume. At least the staff are friendly.

Terrible venue. Nothing says pretentious better than this place. The menu is bland and overpriced - $19 for one cocktail (pictured). Drinks are just as expensive. The set up is terrible - you have to line up to sign in, walk out to use the loo and the bar is also at the entrance so the line of people also blocks the tiny entrance. They need an app for ordering drinks because spending time at the bar line is such a waste of valuable drinking time. A friend ordered hot chips around 4pm and at 5pm they still had not arrived so she cancelled them. They had indoor reserved seating for a big group so warned us in advance which was great but the big group still had not arrived 1 hour after the booking time. Then it rained so outdoor patrons just stood around the walkway longing to sit at these 8 or so empty tables. I recommend making a booking for a table and lawn bowls. The toilets were poor - one had a broken lock and the other had no toilet paper. There's a 1% surcharge for credit cards. It's about 15 minutes walk from North Sydney train station. They have 2 atms. We couldn't see anyone actually eating food at this venue so we left and went across the road to eat a lovely dinner at Percy's.
