We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the Campbelltown, South west region, we were skeptical with some of the reviews from previous, decided to check the house of bamboo out and finally we found a restaurant that we are very happy with and will definitely return. The servings are very generous (and that's coming from a island family lol), the customer service was received with appreciation as every dish ordered was explained in detail and recommendation to try regular popular dishes. The food service came out quick, well presented and fresh. We even had doggy bags to take home as we thought we would over order due to previous other restaurants. Prices are very reasonable due to quantity of servings. (please see photos attached, entrée and mains). We were very satisfied with overall experience. In relation to some of the reviews, there is a component that you have to be culturally minded that the service is quick and what may seem rude to some people who are offended easily, this is the standard in most Asian hospitality. The service experienced at the house of bamboo was very accommodating, and to the point. I am happy with this :). hope this helps.

Purchased 4 Lunch Specials: lemon chicken, honey Chicken, garlic chicken, sweet & sour pork. Large size take away containers were very packed (unlike some other places where the container is actually a smaller size, and not as well filled), so good value for money in that regard, and the food was still piping hot by the time we got it home. Additional 50 cents per take away container, as stated by sign on front counter ie: there would be no additional charge if you choose to dine in. Closed Mondays.

Hadn't visited for quite a few years, decided to visit for dinner.. Food was disappointing, looked as though they ran out of meat (chicken) and padded the dish with frozen mixed veg from a packet.. Had the same dish years ago and was full of meat (chicken) and was completely different.. Changed chef..? Changed owners..? Time between ordering and food arriving at the table was surprisingly fast.. Doubtful if I would return for a similar experience..

We ordered dinner last night for delivery the first time we've had food from this restaurant and were told we would have it within 1hr and 15 mins. We ordered at 7.30pm. Well we never saw the driver or our food. Come 10.30pm we still hadn't seen it. I rang today too ask what happened and was told that the driver did come and we apparently said that there was no one there and closed the door. I explained that it was not our house the person on the phone was very argumenitive and rude. So needless to say I won't be giving them the time of day. So tonight we really ordered from the flower drum and was treated like a real person and we got our food and the whole experience was just wonderful. I highly recommend it!!!! If you want real service and good food DON'T ORDER FROM THIS...

It was mediocre. Not sure how the other reviews came about but we based our outing on past reviews only to get disappointed. A group us went to dine for a special occasion; place was quiet and yet the staff were impatient. I asked about the menu and the staff did not seem to want to explain. The idea was we should make our minds and order quickly. Not very friendly not hospitable. The table cloths were stained and floor was dirty. For spending close to $100, I think we deserved a bit more. And no, the food is not as amazing. Better value for money, friendliness, service, flavour & entertainment at Flower Drum and Chans...
