Observing situations can be enlightening from time to time.
Would you eat food served to you after someone pulled a rubbish bag out of the kitchen area and didn't wash their hands or sanitise first? Also, they used and touched a shopping trolley that they put those rubbish bags onto as a form of transportation.
Rubbish bags + shopping trolley + bare hands + no sanitising = Health Code violations.
Imagine food plates touched with those same fingers - no tray.
My issue is how many hands have touched the bins and rubbish bags prior to any being taken out, when it comes to food and scraps from different customers being put inside them, plus from the outlet itself. And the shopping trolley - how many different people have accessed that over time.
Don't blame anyone for refusing to eat something when hygiene should be the number one concern when it comes to bacteria, germs and Covid19.
Would you remain quiet when someone just touched a rubbish bag and shopping trolley and didn't wash their hands in between?!
Anyhow, this is the place to come to if you want your food passed on to you with a pair of unwashed and unsanistised hands.
If you do opt for your meal to be remade - make sure they do it because I highly suspect that all they do is wait it out and reheat whatever is ordered rather than redo it all from scratch. Totally off putting for a place that does serve great...
Read moreWas very disappointed with the Big Brekky that I got. You're better off ordering the same dish at other local cafes, or going to Cafe Roman in Riverwood. Didn't feel like I got good value out of it, I think it's a bit silly to order a Big Brekky ($26) and be able to count the amount of mushrooms on the plate (which was 6 small ones in my case).
I also ordered an Iced Coffee through the QR code system that they had, where there were many options to customise it - "no cream" "no ice" etc. I thought it would be fine to order the Iced Coffee with "no ice" as they would still put the icecream in it and it would be cold that way, but the staff gave me a drink with ice and "no ice cream" in it. The staff then explained to me that the "no ice" actually means "no ice CREAM". I think if you're going to utilise the QR code system, that you should make sure that the options provided are clearly defined.
I would not recommend coming...
Read morePopular cafe located in Roselands just outside Woolworths. You can place your order by scanning the QR code on the table. I ordered the twisted avocado for Saturday breakfast, which turned out to be an intriguing variation on the classic smashed avo. Instead of the usual sourdough, the base was a toasted charcoal bread slice, not over toasted white bread but black bread! The side beetroot smash was sweet and tasty, and instead of smashed avo there were avocado chunks. Kale was another unexpected surprise, but otherwise there were popular inclusions such as cherry tomatoes, poached egg and feta. Wait time was minimal and staff...
