Surprisingly huge pub/restaurant space serving up great typical Aussie meals at reasonable prices in absolutely gorgeous interiors! STAFF: Down to earth, great attention to detail, appreciative of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free needs. Where dietary alternatives weren't possible, they came up with other options and explained why. FOOD: Think nachos, salads, burgers, roast dinners, risotto, pasta's etc. Super fresh and of a good quality. Prices range from around $12-45. AMBIENCE: A very well decorated homely local. Downstairs is pub-like, with ample TV's showing the latest news/sports etc. Upstairs is classy, plants and gorgeous lights hanging from the ceilings... Think: french/Hampton's style meets comfy rustic. Definitely a winner for large group gatherings/parties etc. ACCESSIBILITY: Wheelchair, prams and dog friendly downstairs, especially in their outdoor area. Lift access to upstairs. Bathrooms are also wheelchair/walker accessible. Some street parking available a few minutes walk away, otherwise they're right alongside the tram and bus routes, 5 minutes from Central train station. OVERALL: Highly recommend. Will be back...

I really wanted to love this place, but they made it so difficult.

I stayed in surry hills for a week and wanted to grab a nearby drink. The first time, I tried stopping by after a cricket game and they had already closed the bar at 930. Fine, went somewhere else.

Went back a few days later on a Saturday, tons of people, nice atmosphere, went to get another glass of wine: bar closed. What? It’s 1030??? No last call announcement. Bar was still pretty full with patrons. Their posted hours are until 12am. Do they hate business? Is it because they don’t earn tips?

**edit: I went on a Thursday night and Saturday night and never sat in the patio area. If your advertise as open until 12 I expect the bar to be serving until at least 1130.

I’d say this is a great spot from 5-8 and beyond that you should find somewhere else.

They also advertise outside a “rooftop bar”. They must have a different definition of rooftops because they have an enclosed covered patio...

Visited the Trinity Saturday afternoon to watch the Rugby before heading across to the SCG.

Myself and 3 friends parked ourselves on a table at 4:10 that was booked for 4pm (after the person didn’t show up). At 5:30 one of the staff walked over and told us we had to move because the original booker had showed up - 1.5 hours later.

The table was booked for Kristopher, but the guys booking was for Kris - so not sure what happened here.

I would suggest that the lady (long blonde hair) learn that manners cost nothing. She was extremely rude and dismissive of anything we’d say and cleared our table while we were sitting there not knowing what was really happening.

Good spot, and the staff in general were pleasant. This was just a bad experience with...

Tried the chicken parmigiana today, and luckily i asked to have mash and veggies instead of chips, *Veggies was so fresh, cooked not killed, seasoned brilliantly with 1 garlic glove and 2 chili slices (amazing taste), that's precision seasoning. *Mash was not just the boring mash, but it had a lovely taste, (not sure if it has cheese or what made that lovely taste) *Chicken was tender, tomato was nice and the basil was enriching flavor i tried this dish in 10 different places and it never tasted this good perfect portion, clean, convenient, took like 10 min to be on my table. Thanks Will be back for sure :)
