Was rather excited to visit this busy cafe. Unfortunately waiting was the special of the day. After a short wait we got seated at our table. Our order was taken quite promptly. Then the waiting begun, we ordered a coffee, a juice and 2 breakfasts. Coffee arrived first but still took a while, as I finished the coffee I wondered where is the juice? I asked the waiter about it, but like the juice, the answer didn't arrive. We decided to drink the free water instead. Our food finally arrived, I estimate a good 45 mins after our order was taken. As I paid the bill, I asked the lady at the register to remove the juice, she apologised and said their machine was broken.

I won't question what exactly was broken, but I did see plenty of juices being delivered to other tables. If the machine was indeed broken, you could inform your clients about the wait, actually, even with the food it would have been nice to be told about the wait.

Just for reference, I estimate I ate breakfasts at about 100 different cafes last year, I think maybe 1 had us waiting as long as...

A very nice and relaxing cafe to visit with great service and a delicious menu!

Plenty of off street parking, it is busy on the weekends.

We had the Third Rail Beef Burger, Boscaiola Fettuccine and the Avocado Bruschetta.

Ordered the Coffee Frappe- ice cold tall glass of coffee and ice cream. Very refreshing.

Third Rail Beef Burger - Juicy seasoned beef patty with American cheese, freshly cut tomatoes, oak lettuce, house made pickles & garlic roasted aioli on a milk bun and served with chips.

Verdict- Very juicy patty and a good serving of fresh verges and crispy chips. 4/5

Boscaiola Fettuccine- Bacon, Mushrooms & onion cooked with white wine and cream sauce, topped with freshly shaved Parmesan cheese.

Verdict- Fresh pasta and creamy sauce and just the right amount of bacon and mushrooms. Well balanced. 4/5

Avocado Bruschetta- with poached free range eggs, roasted tomatoes & herb marinated feta.

Verdict- Eggs poached to perfection and fresh avocado. Bruschetta was nicely toasted. 5/5

Definitely recommend a visit...

Great place for coffee and brunch. Food is really good, and done with a lot of care and attention. We had the chicken burger - was one of the best chicken burgers I've had. Slightly spicy, miuntanousnly tall, gold slaw and soft buns with very crispy and tasty chips what more can you ask for!? Halloumi and chorizo was good too but I felt the chorizo could have done with more spice. French toast was utterly delectable but very rich - don't try it on your own but perfect for sharing. Only criticism (and what stopped it being 5 stars) would be the slow service. Not a problem for a lazy Sunday brunch but I wouldn't go if...

Friendly staff and instaworthy food, but our experience was not perfect. We ordered 2 soy cap, the buttermilk pancakes and the açai bowl. I love the coffee brand, but the milk was not foamy enough. The açai bowl was very generous, it’s almost a two person breakfast with a good variety of fruit. The buttermilk pancakes were a bit disappointing as the caramel on the banana was burnt and had a quite bitter taste.
