We were a table of 6 adults and 1 child. We had the 5.30pm sitting. On the phone, I was told our sitting was from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. However, we had finished our dinner and were finishing our drinks when, at 7.45pm, we were asked to leave because they had another booking waiting for the table.
The service was quintessentially Italian, meaning you'll find plenty of waiters who are attentive, prompt and polite.
The food was OK but some at the table were disappointed. Everyone who had pasta agreed it was "good" however the other dishes were disappointing. I had the fillet steak (perfectly cooked) but which, by the time it was served, was cold, along with a wedge of bland cold potato, cold tasteless sauce and cold mushroom. The Crepes Suzette was disappointing (crepes were too thick and the sauce tasted like buttery marmalade without alcohol). I also ordered a cocktail, which was very weak (was it diluted? I don't know).
The restaurant was busy and I can imagine on a warm summer's night, overlooking the lake, a dinner of pasta with the family would be pleasant.
This is no fine dining experience, but a reasonable place to take your kids to enjoy a family meal in pleasant surroundings. There is convenient parking and, if you live in the Hills, this is a dining destination that would suit...
Read moreLatest review May 2023 Since last review, we've returned quite a few times. Last week, we asked if the kids could share a degustation and they said yes. We were expecting to share it out ourselves when the food arrive, but they took the effort to present each kid with half serve of each degustation course, at times being quite generous, and so each kid had their own plate of nicely presented food. Amazing and generous service at no extra cost. Team were warm and friendly and professional as usual. They even checked with us if we were ok for the kids to have their own steak knives - just really thoughtful and considerate service!
First review 2022 Great experience. Super busy for a Monday night which is testament to how popular they are. Friendly service, good food, generous portion sizes. Great prices for the degustation ($90) and their weeknight specials (3 course for $45). To be honest, we possibly enjoyed the degustation more than we have in some fine dining restaurant! The kids had items from the kids menu which were also delicious and a very decent serve. Though after trying bits of our degustation, they are going to try sharing a 'grown up' 3-course meal next time because they loved the flavours so much. So that's next on our to do list - visit again to check out the...
Read moreMy experience at Trevi Lakeside was simply amazing. I went there with my girlfriend's family, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was also fantastic - we were seated on the terrace with a beautiful view of the lake, and the decor was elegant and stylish.
But the real star of the show was the food. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the appetizers to the main courses to the desserts. The chef clearly knows what he's doing - every dish was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I especially enjoyed the seafood pasta - the flavors were so fresh and vibrant. And the portions were generous, too - we all left feeling full and satisfied.
Overall, I would highly recommend Trevi Lakeside to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. The service, atmosphere, and food were all exceptional, and it's clear that the staff put a lot of care and effort into every aspect of the restaurant. I can't wait to go back and try more of the amazing dishes...
