Came here yesterday for lunch with my newborn and my mum who’s visiting us from Italy. We’ve got a pizza each one. As Italian citizens we can say the pizza was great. Unfortunately the service was terrible! The waitress that (didn’t) look after us was the rudest person I’ve ever met in hospitality industry. Despite the dining room was empty (only one family table occupied in the whole venue) we sat on a table that was still dirty, we only did so because it was in the corner and that made it easier for me to put down my baby while we enjoyed our meal. The waitress approached us asking if we were ready to order without even checking first that we haven’t been given the menu yet. It took awhile to get the table cleaned. The waitress came back with the cutlery and place them on a wet table, so I asked for the table to be cleaned. She did with a paper tissue. Then, she grabbed the same water that was sitting in the previous dirty table and put that on ours for us to drink. I requested for fresh water. The waitress reply that it was the same. I refused to drink it and answer again for a fresh bottle. While we were ordering our food I made a joke about how different the service would be at a restaurant in Italy. The waitress replied back saying “yes, but we’re in Australia”. Fortunately by the end of our meal this person finished her shift and another waitress smiling and kind (short hair girl) took over. I suggest this person to get better trained in costumer services or eventually, to change her job as she turns customers meals into a bitter experience showing that attitude. Selling Italian products it isn’t just about food, and this behaviour is not fair for her colleagues. Furthermore it doesn’t respect any aspect of the...
Read moreVery disappointing. Don’t eat here if you want to wait ages for drinks and meals. Place was very quiet when we arrived and I ordered a cocktail and a coke, garlic bread, pizza and pasta. 40mins went past and still hadn’t received our drinks, but the garlic bread arrived. During that wait other customers had arrived and already received their drinks. I spoke to the waitress explaining the wait and cancelled my cocktail and asked for just two cokes which arrived straight after that. Meantime the pizza then arrived and I still hadn’t got my pasta. My son had nearly finished his pizza, and other customers had there meals who came in after us and my pasta still no where to be seen, an hour now, so I called the waitress to cancel my pasta, and explained that it’s hospitality practice to bring all meals out at the same time. The pasta then came, but I had already said I didn’t want it as it was too late coming out and to be honest, I wasn’t impressed with the look of it, I’ve seen better looking presented pasta. By this time I’d lost my appetite and got the bill. The waitress was apologetic and the only positive was that she just charged me for the garlic bread and one coke, which was the courteous thing to do. Not the waitresses fault, but whoever’s cooking needs to pull their finger out. Italian is my favourite food and I was really looking forward to this meal, but...

Uliveto is such a hidden gem in the heart of Sydney! The vibe is super chill — perfect for dinner with friends, a casual date, or even a solo meal while people-watching. We tried four dishes, and each one was a standout in its own way:
✨ Meat Lover Pizza Handmade and stone-baked — the crust was thin and crispy but still had a nice chew around the edges. Topped with a generous mix of meats, it was rich in flavor but not greasy at all. A dream for any meat lover! 🍖🔥
✨ Lamb Ragù Pappardelle My friend’s favorite of the night. The lamb was slow-cooked to perfection, super tender with no gamey taste. The sauce was rich and full-bodied, and the wide noodles soaked it all up beautifully. A must-try for ragù fans.
✨ Grilled Barramundi Fillet If you’re after something lighter and healthier, this is it. The skin was crispy, the flesh moist and fresh, and the veggies on the side were a refreshing touch. A well-balanced main course. 🐟🥬
🌟 The highlight: Tiramisu! This was a pleasant surprise — served in a generous portion, with a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth texture. The coffee flavor was bold, with a hint of liqueur. Definitely ranks in my Top 3 tiramisus ever. 🍫☕️
📌 Final verdict: Uliveto isn’t flashy, but everything is made with quality ingredients and real heart. If you go, make sure to save room for pizza and dessert — they’re...
