12:40pm on 15th of January 2024 I ate at Marrickville Pork Roll with one other friend. I ordered the crackling Pork Belly Roll and he ordered the Pork Roll. We both thought it tasted really good.

10 minutes later, another friend ordered a Crackling Pork Belly Roll. During those 10 minutes, lots of customers ordered and it was very busy.

However, about 11:00pm on 16th of January 2024, myself and my 2 other friends, we all became sick with food poisoning including, vomiting, stomach cramps and going to the toilet non stop.

Until now, being 5:30pm on 18th of January 2024, I am still affected by food poisoning because of Marrickville Pork Roll. I have also been told by other friends that a lot people getting food poisoning here.

At the time the food tasted good, but now from experiencing food poisoning here as well as hearing that it is common to get food poisoning here, customers should think twice about coming here because obviously their food handling is very poor and it is not worth the...

Eating at Marrickville Pork Roll was an enjoyable experience!

I ordered the BBQ pork roll ($10). It was tasty, moreish, and satisfying. The roll was generously filled with fresh ingredients. The homemade pickled vegetables were crunchy and had just the right amount of tang. The bread had a crusty exterior with a light and fluffy interior. It did not have a heavy, doughy feeling that sometimes bread can have. The BBQ pork in the roll is a thin patty, though, and not the Hong Kong style meat.

Service was great. The store is a small hole-in-the-wall, with not a big place to work. I came at lunchtime and it was busy. I was impressed that staff were able to correctly remember everyone's order- with modifications to the standard rolls! - and make the...

This is one of those places you stumble upon when travelling to Sydney for a wedding (like I did), ate here 3 times in as many days, then told everyone you bumped into at the wedding about this fantastic Bahn Mi place.

Those people then ate there many times and the process of telling everyone about their love of this powerful sandwich continued.

Heck, I've told friends back home (in Canada) about this place and the ones that have travelled to Sydney since have not only gone, but also fell in love.

I'm telling you, this place is awesome in all the right ways. I think about it all the time and no Bahn Mi in my city has them like this. Now I am crying as I think about my past fond memories.

Never take this sandwich for granted. Enjoy them....

I've been on a mission lately and tried a number of these banh mi places. This I would have to say is the absolute best. Its quick, no frills and everything a bahn mi place should be... NOTABLE.. 1. Bread roll is fluffy on the inside crispy on the outside. 2. Fillings are ridiculously fresh and spread consistently throughout the roll. Theres nothing worse than getting a mouthful of lettuce only! 3. Everything is soo full of flavour 3. Chilli is chopped finely! (Yes its simple but every other place I've been puts 5 or so large pieces on the top of the roll so you get big hits of chilli with some bites and then nothing the next! This way its spread all through the whole roll) YUMMMO
