From the very beginning, our experience at White Rabbit Marrickville was nothing short of outstanding.
On the morning of our booking, at exactly 8:57 a.m., I received a kind and friendly message from Andrea, the manager and owner, just checking in to confirm our table. That small gesture immediately set the tone: attentive, warm, and genuinely caring service that carried through the entire visit.
We had the White Rabbit Beef Burger with chips, a beautifully presented AƧai Bowl that looked almost too perfect to eat, and eggs with avocado on sourdough. Every plate was fresh, thoughtful, and delicious. We also shared a pastry, which deserves a special mention. The pastries here are baked fresh, and you can actually buy their bread too, which says a lot about the pride they take in quality. The consistency of both the coffee and the pastries is remarkable, and thatās something not every cafĆ© can maintain.
What truly impressed me was the consistency across visits. I've been here at different times and on different days, and every single time the food has been fresh, the service friendly and the coffee absolutely spectacular. That level of reliability is rare, and it's one of the many reasons this cafƩ is ranked among the Top 60 in Sydney.
If you have friends visiting from overseas and you want to show them what the cafƩ culture in Australia is all about; the quality, the service, the attention to detail, White Rabbit should be at the top of your list. It's fresh, it's consistent, and it's run with genuine passion.
This place is quickly becoming one of my Top 3 cafƩs in Australia, and we will...

Itās the fourth store from this small chain who also have venues in Drummoyne and Double Bay. The offering is half cafe, half bakery, though I was surprised to find out in situ that despite harbouring their own bread shop for takeaway purchases, most of the baking isnāt done on site. Bread is bought in from Sonoma, and pastries are plucked from local standout Goose Bakery in Forest Lodge.
In a suburb known for its Vietnamese offerings, the cracking pork pork belly salad ($28) aināt going to make the grade with overcooked hockey pucks of meat tangled through a bland salad lacking interest from chilli or a strong herbaceous lift. While the fish sandwich ($18) looked impressive with the sheer amount of crumbed fish extending beyond the confines of its milk bun, it ate a bit blandly against iceberg lettuce, Kewpie mayo. and melted cheese. I could have done without the black chips. The interior space is very noisy and could do with some soundproofing. With the former West Juliett team opening up Agnes (also in Marrickville) to hold onto regulars, this little chain cafe is going to have to step things...
