I had the pleasure of dining at Motto Motto Japanese Kitchen in Marrickville, and I can't help but rave about the fantastic experience I had. This Japanese gem truly stands out for its delicious cuisine, welcoming ambiance, and excellent service.
First and foremost, the atmosphere at Motto Motto is incredibly inviting. The sleek and modern design, with a touch of Japanese aesthetics, creates a soothing and comfortable environment. The restaurant's interior design strikes a balance between modern elegance and the warmth of traditional Japanese dining.
The star of the show, of course, is the food. The menu at Motto Motto is a delightful journey through Japanese flavors. From sushi to ramen, from teriyaki to tempura, every dish I tried was an explosion of taste. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of each dish was truly remarkable. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, the sushi was expertly crafted, and the ramen broth was rich and flavorful.
One of the highlights of my visit was the sushi bar, where I could watch the skilled chefs in action. Their dedication to their craft was evident, and it was a pleasure to see the care that went into every roll and piece of sushi.
The staff at Motto Motto were attentive and friendly. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were more than happy to provide recommendations. Their enthusiasm for the cuisine and their willingness to accommodate special requests made the experience even more enjoyable.
The variety of dishes and the range of options for different dietary preferences, including vegetarian and gluten-free, was commendable. Motto Motto clearly strives to cater to a wide array of tastes.
In conclusion, my visit to Motto Motto Japanese Kitchen in Marrickville was a culinary delight. The exquisite Japanese cuisine, the tasteful ambiance, and the exceptional service combined to make it a memorable dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Motto Motto to anyone in search of top-notch Japanese cuisine. I can't wait to return to explore more of their menu and savor their...
Read moreClassic ramen was fine, the Karaage that came with it wasn't fully cooked, so I put it into my broth to try and heat it more, but decided to leave it. The pickles were a bit of a non-event, but were fine. The broth itself was quite rhobust in flavour, but nothing hugely memorable. I really do like a place that cooks their noodles to a firmer texture, so this was probably my favourite part about the dish. If I was in the metro and was hungry for noodles, i'd possibly return, but would I drive from home to get food from Motto Motto based on this experience alone? Unlikely...
The restaurant was pretty empty when I was there, and I had my waiter ask me 3 times during my meal how my bowl of noodles was, and then towards the end I RANDOMLY had another waitress (i'm not exactly sure what part of my meal she was responsible for) come up to me to ask "Can you please leave me a review?" and she left a little card and a handwritten note with her name on it.
Very. Random - To Annemiek: here is my review!
I was honestly just looking for a classic bowl of noodles and found the service borderline 'too much'. I was in there because I was hungry, not because I was looking to find a new best friend. I understand that it is a new shopping centre and that all restaurants are trying their hardest to capture any business possible at the moment... but I think moving forwards I will go back to my classic ramen favourites run by japanese who appear to have a more authentic approach to their...
Read moreWife and I came here after a long interstate drive. The person at the counter (maybe manager?) had a sour attitude from the start. Turning away 2 customers for some random reason. The huffily took our order. We re received the 2 ramens and they were incorrect. It’s my first time here so I didn’t know what she said when she put them in the table. Being so hungry we started and realised we had someone else’s order. As she took the orders and delivered them to us you would think she would remember what’s what? She clearly made a mistake and she didn’t complete our order either shorting us our extra chicken. When asked about our chicken she plonked it on the table with no apology. Appalling on all fronts. No sorry for messing the order up, the noodles were over cooked and had no texture. Broth was horrible with a bad after taste like a synthetic msg. Portion is tiny for $17. Terrible service, attitude and food. DO Not Bother going here. I hope it closes down and the server should be sent on the first test rocket to...
