Wildflower Society isn’t just your regular shopping centre cafe, it’s a place with a creative menu, super welcoming staff with efficient service and decor that makes you feel like you’re anywhere but the inside of a mall.
The decor sees a contemporary Australian native wildflower theme, complete with walls of flowers, leather banquette seating and it has a whole sense of serene to it. We were instantly shown to a table, given menus and reminded to order at the counter. We had our little toddler with us and were offered a high chair and colouring in products to entertain him. We were very grateful.
We perused the menu and note an all day menu with popular breakfast and brunch classics that encompass mediterranean, middle eastern and Asian influences. From a banoffee Biscoff French to toast to haloumi fries and sticky Korean fried chicken, there’s plenty to tickle your fancy. You can order a larger meal, side, pastries or a combination of all. The prices are reasonable for the size, which is great given that they use produce from local and sustainable suppliers and providors.
Dishes are prepared and delivered fast and they are presented creatively. We shared the following:
Wild Benny - some of the best corn fritters we’ve had, served with crispy chat potatoes, a generous dollop of herbed hollandaise, baby spinach, eggs, strings of sweet potato crisps, and a burnt sage butter. We added some crispy bacon to it for a very indulgent brekkie.
The Brekky plate was certainly for the hungry diner: a hot plate complete with poached eggs, bacon, slices of spiced beef sausage, cheesy spinach, crispy chat potatoes, avo, labneh, mushrooms, tomato chilli jam, nigella native dhukkah and a thick slice of Sonoma sourdough & pepa saya butter.
And for the healthy amongst us, a nourish bowl was the go to order. The bowl was spread with a golden hummus and the salad; a mix of crispy quinoa, pickled onion, cucumber ribbons, rocket, riceberry, avo, crispy chickpeas, Persian feta, pomegranate and a herb oil. Super flavoursome and a really enjoyable meal all round.
There’s plenty of kids meals and a great range of drinks too. We enjoyed a green machine juice, iced chai and flat white and these drinks perfectly complemented our meal.
Overall, it was an excellent dining experience and we look forward to returning to try more of...
Read moreExcellent food for a hefty but reasonable price if you compare it to your average cafe. I had the smashed avocado with smoked salmon I think 26 all up. Now the salmon was a generous serve for the 7 dollars definitely and was a fairly good quality. Everything tasted excellent from the tahini yoghurt to the dill that I don't normally love. My partner has the truffle brisket which she loved but the meat was a tad dry, 33 dollars which is a bit rich but it is brisket and this takes care and time. We also ordered corn fritters for 5 dollars for six which was generous and very tasty! Paid $75 all up for that a coke and coffee. Now I don't usually pay this much for a brunch but it was very well done and satisfying. Now....... The knives were so hard to use I couldn't cut up the food with it so had to get a steak knife which was just as thin lol. The service was what I would call poor. I don't think I've seen such a sour bunch of young people for a while unless you count the local shops! Just looked miserable and one actually rolled her eyes at me when I asked for ice. Chefs were lovely and friendly though. I've owned a restaurant in bali for years and I'd definitely be getting rid of gloomy miserable staff who never smile or sort that culture out asap as it does not spread to the kitchen so it's a floor staff issue for sure. Also waited to be seated for so long we just sat down like everyone else had too but yes they were busy. I'd definitely go back regardless of the staff as the food was...
Read moreBeen meaning to try these guys out since they opened in 2022! It's 2024 and I've been asking myself why did it take us so long to give these guys a shot??? So so thankful we have a local gem. Since trying these guys out for the first time several months ago it has been me and partner's goal to try everything on their menu (even when we're tempted to go back to our favourite dish and I can safely confirm there is not one thing to fault). Every single dam dish we've tried we close our eyes and feel like we're floating in heaven haha! Props to the chefs for keeping every meal consistent. Our eyes roll to the back for every bite LOL! Be it their signature strawberry matcha, watermelon crush, iced caramel latte with ice cream, fish tacos, steak sando, chicken sando, chicken schnitzel, big brekky, nourish bowl, coconut pancakes, eggs benny, prawn baos omg the list goes on...omg and the effing acai sundae (which btw is the best I've tasted in Sydney). We're so obessed we secretly walk past the kitchen and give the chefs a two thumbs up without them knowing (not that they're paying any attention and I swear we're not being creepy bahahaha).
Omgsh! Can't forget to mention the service! Never had anything to fault about their service, always attention to detail and friendly. We always seem to come at the right time and have never had to wait...
