I'll start off by saying Rashays is my favorite place to eat, but tonight I couldn't believe the service.. I understand that fussy eaters are annoying but when I am paying $30 For a burger I feel like I have the right to change a few things I got the Zain burger and wanted no pickle or relish, instead I asked for extra cheese. I got the burger WITH the relish and NO cheese, no pickle, no bbq sauce and no mayo.
I didn't notice the burger had no sauce at this point I was focused on having no cheese, so I called up and let the supervisor know of the mix up, he said there was nothing he could do and he would ask his manager to call me.
So I added my own cheese to the burger so I could enjoy it but when I realised there was no sauce either I called back to let him know so his manager would know for when they call me.
The supervisor I was talking to said the kitchen did put cheese on the burger, and all but called me a liar about it. He told me to take photos of the burger because "how do we know there was no cheese?" Why not ask me that in the first call? Now my burger has cheese on it. I took photos of the burger anyway because my cheese is shredded, a lighter colour than theirs and the burger still has no sauce. Didn't even eat it.
Couldn't believe the service I...
Read moreWe arrived late on a Friday evening (approx 9pm) with a party of 18 and we were grateful to be accepted by Tynieka to dine in.
Because of our large group, we sat outside on the large table but had to swap a seat as the cushion was dirty. We also had to request for the table to be wiped down, which Tynieka did happily. Tynieka also obliged to check the gas bottles of every heater as one of our ladies was a bit cold, but to no avail, as they were all empty. We were grateful that she tried.
A Mr Bean cartoon was playing on the screens around the restaurant, with an episode showing a woman with very large breasts and her hiding items in between her breasts. While I realise most Mr Bean episodes are suitable for families, this one was definitely not appropriate.
The food was great. We shared the chicken platter between four adults - it was delicious. Good value for money.
The staff didn’t complain about any of our requests and children playing in their outdoor area (there were no other patrons outside to disturb).
We were impressed by Tynieka’s friendly demeanour and her effort to accomodate us from the start of our visit right till the end. We know we stayed late and we never once felt rushed. Tynieka really made us feel welcome and we will...
Read moreI hadn't been to Rashays for years due to bad food, service and atmosphere from a few of their restaurants, and unfortunately nothing was any different here recently.
When greeted at the door by the waitstaff after they finished their conversation, we were told "sit wherever you want".
After sitting in the darkest booth they had, which was still under near floodlights, we waited for around 10 minutes for someone to return to our table to take our orders.
Whilst waiting I looked around at the place. It felt like sitting in a warehouse. Very cold, brightly lit, concrete floors and you can see the plumbing and air con pipes running along under the ceiling. Also there were stacks of boxes not far from where we sat. Can't say if they were full or empty. Probably to add to the warehouse affect. The whole inside dining room was not very comfortable.
The food - the signature creamy mushroom chicken was far from impressive. The chicken was a processed fillet similar to a HJ chicken burger patty. Had a slight "flame grilled" flavour but very salty. I would have paid a few $ more for fresh chicken. The ribs are very expensive for what you get.
I'm definitely not going back to Rashays...
