Absolutely love the bright and cheerful staff when you approach the counter.
The cafe is 'profit for purpose' (a not for profit, which can make you feel a little better about your brew) they donate profits to a chosen charity each quarter
I had a proper flat white with the tiniest amount of foam - as it should be!
The coffee is delicate, acidic and lightly sweet. It's a really lovely coffee.
The venue has outdoor seating with seven tables set up when I was there (a Thursday morning). It looks like there is space for more on busier days. There are little blankets at the tables to keep you cosy on chilly mornings. They also offer indoor seating.
There is an adjacent playground and the cafe offers ceramic mugs that can be taken to the park and returned to the café. A great initiative to cut down on disposable cups or handy if you've forgotten your keep cup.
The menu has café favourites of toast, croissants, bacon and egg rolls, avo toast. Where it stands out is the Colombian fare of arepas and empanadas. Arepas are naturally gluten free and a fantastic option for coeliacs.
I will definitely visit again when I'm...

All profits are donated to a charity each quarter. Using ethically sourced ingredients to make their coffee and food, this is a socially conscious business.
I loved seeing a pinboard on the counter where people have “paid it forward” and purchased a coffee for someone else, as well as positive messages for others. What a top idea.
The cafe fronts onto a gallery for emerging and unrepresented artists (gallery is closed due to Covid19 is shut at present).
The cafe itself has a super friendly and calming individual, Joaquin behind the counter, hailing from Columbia, he brightly welcomes me and takes and makes the order.

Read moreThis is a neat little cafe with great food and a nice atmosphere.
We came on a Saturday morning, afraid it might be full given it was peak time. Yet, there was ample seating and it was fairly quiet. The staff were nice.
The food was very good and reasonably priced: $47 for three people, with a coffee and brekky meal each - so just over $15 each. Coffee was also nice - not too strong, not too weak.
There is off-street parking on the other side of the park.
This is a great place I'd 100% recommend visiting, either for a morning coffee or...
