I don’t know if there’s new management or chefs in the kitchen or what. Ordered my countery with a side of aioli. When I went to pick up my food chef told me it’s not on the docket you need to pay for that. The situation is one it’s not my fault the wait staff can’t take a food order properly two you want me to walk all the way around to the bar and back again after your wait staffs mistake and three might of been fine if the chef didn’t bark at me like I was a member of staff and give me unnecessary attitude.
Attend this pub frequently because of the great customer service and food always a 5/5 for me.
Unusually long wait time today too for a quiet Friday, chips were cold and half were over cooked and black too like they’d been double frying them.
You can see from reviews before this people are feeling the same.
Update
Gave this place another try
The short dude with glasses working at the bar has a serious attitude problem, was literally slapping the counter while serving my friends, if you have a problem with dealing with the general public why work in customer service.
Asked the the guy for a print out of my receipt and asked him why certain side sauces weren’t on the docket and he just looked at me like a was an idiot the whole time just not saying anything. I asked why the side sauces I ordered weren’t on the receipt and are the chefs going to Give me my side sauces? Continued to just stare at me while slapping he’s hand down on the POS then he threw he’s hands up and said I’ll just go tell them and It’s a pity cause the business owner is quite nice, just let down by staff that can’t be bothered dealing with customers orders. Also ordered my steak medium rare came out medium well with cold sauce
You may not need my or my friends business but pull your bloody socks up and appreciate people are paying decent money for the most awkward and rude service. There was five people eating when we sat down to eat and the chefs couldn’t even be bothered heating our sauces up properly. I’d not even leave a review if it wasn’t for the short guy wearing glasses and he’s attitude.
Will never return

Read moreThis is a very handy and eclectic hotel situated in a very nice part of Zetland minutes to the main hub of Green Square. This was my first visit but certainly not my last. Shane greeted us and is super friendly, the rest of the team are also very nice. The good sized a varied menu was explained the ordering is done at the bar and vast array of drinks, your given a buzzer and then collect your food when it’s ready from the kitchen area. We made our choices and sat at the large lovely table within the bistro area. There’s also a nice court yard area and the dining area is large, open and has all been recently refurbished. The best thing is that the food is very good and great sized portions. This includes steaks, ribs, salads, fish and chips and more pub favorites, something for everyone including vegetarian. There’s a large variety of tasty main courses for the dinner menu also, and exclusive lunch specials. I love that walls are covered with photos of bands and performers. The walls and floors are decorated well I wouldn't say this place is sheik, but it’s on trend, with good honest food and excellent sized portions, with great service by all. If you’re there on one of the lucky nights they do Drag Bingo, you’re in for an entertainment treat and hopefully, Maybe karaoke,? where you’ll be able to let your inner star out and...
Read moreThe Zetland Hotel was great about 2 years ago, now not so much. They have 'renovated' when i say renovated I mean taken over the Arts and Crafts store next door and that's now where their Pokies/ VIP room is located. Where the pokies was is a giant void or random sofas and chairs and extremely bright lights. The have had over 6 months of lockdowns in Sydney (including numerous gents from the government) to get that place looking somewhat pub like again but they have not. My biggest issue is THE SECURITY, again and again the 2 security guards there ALWAYS seem to rub me the wrong way. For starters I am an adult and I know what time you close, what I DO NOT need is for your security guards to remind me of closing times when I enter, to remind me of 'last drinks' 3 or 4 times over the course of an hour or remind me every 10 minutes up until you close at 12 midnight that you are in fact closing at that time. Security guards should not even be needed for this, this is for your staff members to handle. Security are there to do just that secure the venue. Due to this over invasion of authority at the Zetland Hotel I will NOT ever be...
