The service at the CAFE a couple of days ago (the one near Emergency) was atrocious. The lady (blonde hair) was rude and condescending. $5.70 for burnt coffee is outrageous. It has proven to me why so many people go across the road to the cafe outside the hospital and to cafe's in the surrounding area. The food sold here is VERY expensive, which in itself is disgusting given that it's people visiting sick people with little option other that to buy this overpriced food.

After I made sure I wasn't ripped-off my first two week's pay I begged for shifts from a supervisor on WhatsApp. When all the staff at their St Vincent's outlet quit in the middle of a shift the supervisor begged me to contact him. This same supervisor showed me to adjust the coffee grind by giving the grind machine a big hug... ridiculous. Don't blame the entry-level staff for being unhappy or for the poor service or the inconsistent quality of the food...
   Read moreWe all know hospital cafes are not know for their high quality meals. But having been a regular at St George hospital, Zoukis is where I go to for my coffee and I am NOT disappointed. Excellent coffee and lovely staff. My dad also loves their egg sandwiches.
Compared to any other coffee at any other hospital cafe. This is stand out! And when you’re visiting a hospital frequently, this silver lining is a nice thing to enjoy!
