A Jolly Night at Clancy's Irish Pub
Oh, what a grand evening it was at Clancy's Irish Pub! Me and the lads ventured in for a spot of cheer, and we were greeted with warmth and the lively strains of traditional Irish tunes.
The atmosphere was as cozy as a snug, with friendly faces all around and pints of Guinness flowing like the River Liffey. We raised our glasses in a toast to good company and good craic!
Clancy's sure knows how to pour a proper pint of the black stuff, smooth as silk and rich in flavor. And the pub grub! Top-notch shepherd's pie and hearty Irish stew that warmed our bellies on a chilly night.
Loved it so much here, I couldn't resist writing a little irish song about the place:
Oh yeah my name is OâBrian Ginger and fierce just like an Irish lion Out drinking the scottish yeah you know theyâre cryin Never take my pot of gold, tell em to stop trying!
FIDDLE DE DEE HAIR GINGER LIKE A BUMBLE BEE!!!! Think youâre tough i'll beat you with a sheleighleigh River dancing on brittish opps graves Real thirsty now its guinness I crave
Oh no hereâs Scottish everywhere Set them on fire the colour of my hair You think fiddle de dee is just a rhyme But in Ireland that opinions a crime
(fiddle solo)
With a hi de dy and a fiddle de dee The british are coming time do get ready Theyâve taken a portion of our northern heart Time to rip those chip heads apart
The scottish ânâ germans with their tankards Do my freckles give you frights In your man skirts do you cry
You all poo your pantaloons when you hear my fearsome fiddle
(RAPPER HUCKLEBERRY BENSON ON THE BEAT)
You all poo your pantaloons when you hear my fearsome fiddle The scottish thing they can just siddle I will make the british cry While I smoke and gobble pecan pie!!!
(fiddle solo) You all poo your pantaloons when you hear my fearsome fiddle
I got too many opps I dont care about the cops!
You all poo your pantaloons when you hear my fearsome...
Read moreFrom the friendly and accommodating, sweet voice when I rang to book, to the wonderful greeting and extremely genuine personal interest given to each patron, our visit to Bailey's Irish Pub and Restaurant was fantastic. My friend Val had brought me on a short trip to Mt Tamborine so with O'Sullivan being my surname there was no way I was going to miss this opportunity. Val had the Rib Fillet with beautiful roast veges and yummy onion gravy and chips and I had the Beef and Guiness Pie with salad and chips. Both meals were extremely good portions and absolutely delicious. Everyone around us had various different meals and each person was immensely enjoying and savouring each and every bite, as were we. I couldn't manage dessert but Val ordered the Apple Crumble. Since one of my absolute favourite things all my life has been apple desserts I just had to taste it once Val had eaten all she could. I only had 2 small spoonfuls but my tastebuds were in Heaven. I (Sian) took great glee in telling Tina and Nathan and the boys who made the desserts that was THE ABSOLUTE BEST Apple Crumble I've had in my entire 61 years. No joke ....... I could live on it. Delicious! Scrumptious! Delectable cuisine at very reasonable prices. Tina and Nathan Bailey are genuinely lovely people who are happy to be involved with their guests...... Even 2 very chatty mature aged ladies.... One of whom had a very robust and raucous cackle of a laugh đ I'm coming back to Brisbane in July and I'll definitely be visiting my new friends and fine culinary masters at Bailey's Irish Pub and Restaurant at Mt Tamborine. May the road rise up to meet you and the sun be warm on your back and the breeze be gentle on your face and until we meet again may the Lord bless and keep you always xxx Big...
Read moreIâm hesitant to review Baileyâs Irish Bar and restaurant, because Iâm feel like I stumbled in on a secret. Truth be known, they donât need any reviews, the place was fully booked when we arrived at 6pm on a Monday night!!!!!, so itâs obvious that the secret is out! But the atmosphere, the setting and the service was excellent and so authentic . The waitress explained honestly that it could be an hour or longer before we got our meals, but the room was so inviting that we didnât hesitate to sit at the table she found for us and enjoy a choice of the some forty whiskeyâs available and a pint of Guinness. We then ordered the twice cooked duck and when it arrived we felt it had all happened too soon, and we were still trying to soak up the feeling of actually being in Ireland for a while. Anyway the duck was outstanding (and I get duck whenever I can), the champs, the darkened vegetables and the glaze of were astounding, it was a dream come true , but again, Iâm hesitant to make this review because I donât want it to grow and change and loose itâs authenticity and quaintness before I get to come back!! Thank you Baileyâs Irish bar and restaurant for a timeless experience, Don and Kathy...
