I loved The Bohemian Tearoom!
We visited there as part of a spontaneous road trip to Tenterfield. Forgetting daylight savings, the business had actually just closed but Steve, the owner and PR guru, happened to be out the front and kindly let us in. We then met his friendly wife, Christine, who oversees the kitchen and, as a former Home Economics teacher, certainly knows her stuff!
Without getting carried away, everything was wonderful. The coffee was rated very highly by my fussy wife, I loved my homemade Chai tea, and the rhubarb tart and prune & ginger cake were both beautiful. As the name suggests, tea is their speciality and, I believe, there are about 40+ on offer.
The premises felt like I was visiting my grandparents (although at my age they're more like my parents!) and we enjoyed sitting on the big couch in the corner. The fireplace would be idyllic in the colder months.
