Kitchen Garden — Restaurant in Tenterfield

Stopped there due to good ratings. Unfortunately none from me. Coffees were awful and the pies weren't much better. The pastry was lovely but the filings in both our pies were sweet! 😖 Couldn't determine what was actually in the veggie pie and the mushy pea pie also had tomato sauce in it! Couldn't eat them and the coffee is going cold as i can't get myself to drink it. And I really, really need one, too. Update - 2 whole years later: Just now the owner actually bothered to reply with "So pleased U won't be back"

LOL! So are we! 🤣 Just wish we'd read some of the other bad reviews from other customers BEFORE we ate there, so we'd known to avoid this place like the plague! Anyone wanting decent food, coffee or service - this...

We’d stopped in Tenterfield for coffee before and were disappointed so we chose this place after checking some reviews.

Two piccolo’s were ordered $9 after longer than expected we were served very strong brew with poorly textured milk!

I returned them and was told they were double shot piccolo coffee’s! Not sure why as we never drink double shot coffee. The man was perplexed and stated he was proud of his 20kg coffee sales a week... on the menu cover it clearly states ‘best coffee outside of Italy’... well sadly this is certainly not the case, maybe not the worst either but not far off.

Our single shot coffee arrived with no word...

So I ordered the Beef Curry pie with chips and gravy, and paid with cash, because this place hasn’t caught up with the pay-by-card trend. But that’s ok because paying by card isn’t very popular hey?

I got served up a Chicken pie and got a shrug when I said that’s not what I ordered. She walked away without offering to remedy the situation and left me to eat the luke-warm chicken pie which had a very small side of chips and gravy, I paid 9.90 for this meal and I’m left sitting here wondering why... why does this kind of thing...
