A Hidden Gem with Delicious cafe meals and a Touch of History!

I recently visited the Courtyard Cafe at Tenterfield, NSW, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Located at the historic Tenterfield School of Arts, this cafe not only offers mouthwatering dishes but also provides a glimpse into the past. From their seafood basket to fish and chips, every bite was a treat for the taste buds.

The seafood basket was a standout. Packed with a generous assortment of prawns, calamari, and fish, it was a seafood lover's dream come true. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, retaining its natural flavors and tenderness. The fish and chips were equally impressive, with crispy batter and flaky, moist fish inside. It was evident that the kitchen staff takes pride in their preparation and presentation.

What made the experience even better was the happiness on the kids' faces when they sipped on their chocolate milkshakes. The cafe seems to have mastered the art of creating delightful milkshakes that the little ones couldn't get enough of. Kudos to the team for making them so delicious!

One aspect that stood out to me was the reasonable pricing. Despite the high quality and portion sizes, the prices were surprisingly affordable. It's always a pleasant surprise to enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank, and Courtyard Cafe definitely delivers on this front.

Moreover, the cafe's location within the Tenterfield School of Arts adds a unique charm. The historical significance of the venue, where Henry Parkes delivered his influential speech on the need for Australian federation, creates an enriching atmosphere. It's a wonderful feeling to enjoy great food while surrounded by a touch of history.

The service at Courtyard Cafe was friendly and efficient. The staff members were attentive, ensuring that we had a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and relaxed, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal.

Overall, I highly recommend Courtyard Cafe in Tenterfield, NSW. With their delectable seafood, mouthwatering fish and chips, and delightful chocolate milkshakes, they truly offer a memorable dining experience. Combine that with reasonable prices and a location that carries historical significance, and you've got a winning combination. Don't miss out on this hidden gem; it's arguably one of the best cafes in...

This place is definitely worth 5 stars except that it's trading hours are 9am weekdays 8am weekends, which is why I give it 4 stars. This means that if you are staying in accommodation nearby Monday to Friday you can't guarantee you'll be back at your motel before the 10am checkout time. For our motorcycle group this meant that day two of our trip to Tenterfield we had to settle for pie's at the local bakery which was no where near as nice as The Courtyard Cafe. It was either do this or checkout early from the Motel and eat breakfast in our full motorcycle gear, which nobody wanted to do, motorcycle riding gear is not the most comfortable thing to sit around in. PLEASE...

A great cafe in town without the noise of trucks and the livestock smells. Beautiful garden to enjoy and live music (easy listening, background music) on weekends. The staff are lovely and friendly and the food is, oh so good! I had the BLT one day and a delicious bowl of soup another. We also went on Sunday for breakfast and the big breakfast was what it said and very reasonably priced too. I will definitely return to enjoy the ambience, service and delicious...

Popped in for some breakfast. The small plated breakfast was enough for me(yes there is a large). The lady who was serving was prompt and courteous(she was also cooking) and had my breakfast out to me in quick order. Some quirky features like a teapot garden hanging in a tree. But for me the most interesting item was the Tenterfield 1917-1927 Championship board with the results of games like draughts, cribbage Cheers etc. Cheers
