Tenterfield Bakery — Restaurant in Tenterfield

Absolutely rude staff! Walked in holding my tiny dog (he wasn't able to touch anything anyway) and was incredibly rudely kicked out for even thinking about it. After leaving my dog outside the staff were still short and rude. When you want customers and tourists to spend money at your store, there's this little thing called good customer service that will bring people back. Had the situation been handled better, I would've been happy to continue spending my money here. This place unfortunately, has no positive customer service, so I'd rather spend my money anywhere else.

Even asked what's the difference between me holding my dog in there and going from patting my dog to touching items within the store, as there would still be the same amount of germs regardless. Was told rudely to take it up with the health inspector.

Again, if I had been nicely asked to leave my ($3000) pup outside on his own, I would've done so happily. Just goes to show, the way you interact with people...

We stopped by while camping nearby and were greatly disappointed. Originally, we were hoping to go to the bad manners cafe, but I think we did anyway. My daughter was deciding what to get when the lady serving us told her to hurry up. We ordered an apple slice, which they didn’t give us, but we also got a chocolate eclair and custard donut. Overall, the food wasn’t too bad but we won’t be stopping there any time soon. We were asked if we were dining in, and we said yes but we might take something back, so a bag would be appreciated. Until my most recent visit I would have given the bakery 5 stars, as the service and food was always very good. Unfortunately over the last couple of days, I was served by the same staff member three times who was incredibly rude and I can honestly say they have turned me off returning to this shop.
