My experience here was so bad I don't even know where to start. Firstly the young boy on the phone lacked etiquette, however as he was young I let it slide. When we came in to pick up our food we were not greeted for at least 5 minutes. The manager, Paul was sitting at the front desk looking at his phone however did not look up to acknowledge us. He then proceeded to call someone whilst still not acknowledging us. He then very rudely called over his young staff member to serve us and continued to treat this boy rudely. Once our money was taken, we then waited another few minutes to receive our food, only to find that it was sitting on the bench the whole time. No apology was given for this. We were appalled however very hungry so let it go and went home. Got home to find that my "noodle dish" had no noodles in it and was not "creamy" as the name suggested. I was instantly turned off by the look of this dish. When I took my food back, the girl on the counter did not respond when I let her know my concern with the dish, but requested that the young staff member fetch the manager - Paul. The young boy then went out the back and told Paul that "some chick" was here to talk to him. When Paul came out I was appalled by his unpleasant and unprofessional manor. He offered to put noodles in my dish however I explained that I unfortunately was unhappy with the service I had received prior and would prefer to have my money back. My friend and I then proceeded to explain the service that we had received. He continuously interrupted and spoke over us as we tried to offer our feedback (which would only be of benefit to him mind you). We were given our money back in the most disgruntled manor I've ever experienced. Paul continued to argue with us rather than listening to our attempts to politely offer our feedback. The staff attempted to excuse this experience because the young boy was "only 14"... I don't believe this is an excuse as if Paul had a shred of management skills, his young 14 year old staff member would have had better service skills. After we walked out, pleased that we had received our refund (in cash mind you, when I paid for my order on card) however shocked at the whole experience, Paul came out of the restaurant and yelled at us in the street arguing that I was the one who had ordered the wrong dish. I am certain that I had not, as I was reading my order STRAIGHT FROM THE MENU. I have NEVER experienced someone so arrogant, rude and atrocious let alone received such terrible service...
Read moreThis Thai food is great! Our favourite Thai restaurant! My husband and I have had dinner here very frequently along with friends and family. We have always been welcomed with kindness and the owners are very friendly. Upon deciding to do a review this evening after our visit I was shocked to see the horrible things people have put in their reviews. Every visit we have had to this restaurant we received good service and the owners were on speaking terms with every person dining in and many people coming in to pick up take away. Hearing every person saying how much they enjoy the food they have eaten. Pretty clear to me that their food and service is good. To be honest don’t read the bad reviews and think they are legitimate!!! I actually think they are foul play by competing restaurants. I know this by the fact that I spoke to the owner about why there aren’t open for lunch anymore and he was puzzled to why I would ask that. Upon further discussion I said we noticed on google your opening hours were 4-9pm. These are not the hours he had set but they had been changed. I sense foul play there also. Read moreOwner accused my kids of lying. My 2 kids wanted fish and chips from next door whilst we ordered lunch. I specifically asked him permission for this for which he agreed as it was just 2 kids considering we were a group of 12 ordering lunch.
Throughout service, he continued to stare us down making us extremely uncomfortable. At the end of service, we proceeded to pay the bill where he then started to make rude comments regarding the 2 packs of fish and chips. He accused my kids both of which are under 10yrs old of being liars because he say them sharing his food with the other kids. He continued to be little us. He then started becoming intimidating pointing his finger at me. When I asked him for his name, he declined and called me an idiot. He picked up an ice cream tub and threw it outside in the direction of my niece.
He then followed us outside and started making remarks against us with another customer and continued to point and smirk in our direction.
