OVER PRICED FOOD, APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE DO NOT EAT HERE!! PLEASE READ AND RETHINK YOUR CHOICE OF WHERE TO EAT!! Where to even start. For someone who has worked in hospitality my whole career, I have never experienced services as Disgusting then at this restaurant. We were there for my sisters birthday dinner, a time that should be enjoyable for everyone except we all walked out in absolute disgust with the customer service or lack of that we received. First of all we ordered over $800 worth of food, and about 2 out of the 15-20 dishes actually ended up with the right person. My partner and I ordered a $70 dish to share, but our friends received our dish due to lack of experience from the waiters. The waiter then approached my partner and stated that there had been a mix up and someone else on our table had received our dish and they could make us another one but we would have to pay another $70 or we could just have their $40 dish but still have to pay $70. We told them we would take the smaller dish but would not be paying for a $70 dish we never received. Our dish finically reached our table 20+ minutes later and after being told it was ours and starting to eat then got told by the waiter that it actually wasn't ours it was my aunties dish and our hadn't even been made yet. Secondly we ordered a bottle of wine, which took over 45 minutes to reach the table, after approaching the staff several times to ask where it was. We had to stand at the bar and wait for them to actually get our wine. Thirdly we had the OWNER of the store then approach our table and insist that we were to pay for the $70 dish even though we still hadn't recieved our $70 dish nor the $40 dish we were meant to get but instead my aunties dish. We literally had the owner of the store yelling and screaming at us as we refused to pay for a dish we didn't receive. I have never experience such disgusting unprofessional service in my life nor had anyone at our table. We had the whole restaurant starting at us as he literally abused us in front of everyone. My mother then when to pay the bill where the owner would not take the $70 dish off and tried to charge her $850 for $750 worth of food which we actually received. Conveniently the receipt machine would not work and he could only show us half of the bill and told my mother "just give me $800 and we will call it a deal" This place is an absolute joke, I would advise anyone to not ever step foot in the door let alone eat or drink in the joke of...
Read moreFirst time going there, and I wish I never went. New Years Eve, set menu serving only tapas and $100 a head. Booked in advance, went in only to be told my 1 year old son will be charged $50 as well (there were still empty seats so it’s not like he took the place of an adult, and he did not eat tapas obviously). We came in at 7pm right on time, seated at the back (despite there being other free seats at the front) and for 5 adults were given ONE tapas plate numerous times. I had to speak to several waitresses to inform them that logically speaking, for a group of 5 adults, we should not be receiving the same quantity of food as a couple. By the 5th time we had to say we would like double, one of the waitresses seemed confused and hesitated to place a second plate on the table. Very inconsiderate and inexperienced which leads me to assume the owner must not brief staff prior to large occasions. If I wanted one plate of each dish, I could have purchased everything on the tapas menu for $200-250, not $550.
After complaining that the food was not enough, either they purposely chose not to bring out specific tapas or they genuinely have no order in the restaurant. I missed out on the seafood bugs, halloumi, chicken and patatas, while everyone else around us received there’s. For every one of these I would need to ask staff which was very draining, and needless to say the waitresses did not care or get any dishes, I mean if they didn’t even get my husbands and mother in laws beverage the whole night why would food be different. The Young male waiter was amazing and professional and helped us with the missed dishes.
After 3 hours, constantly waiting for food, having to tell them one small tapas plate after a 20 minute wait does not suffice for 5 adults, squashed seating, and poor customer service we left still quite hungry and very disappointed. Looking back at the menu, we missed out on a total of 10 dishes. In future, if you’re going to advertise that it’s a ‘unlimited tapas’ night you might want to make note to the customer that in order to try all that’s on the menu, it will be well over 3 hours which realistically speaking is not enjoyable especially with very very...
Read moreAfter reading all the reviews here my partner didn’t want to come here. But I put my foot down and said let’s just try it.
From the moment we walked in the staff where very polite and on the ball, they took us to a table at the back of the restaurant and yes if you look to the right you see the bottle shop but I looked to my left and it was full of people with ocean views!
The waiter come over and said I know I just sat you down it lien like you want to order i said you on the ball I would love a jug of white sangria please. My partner order an Australian beer on tap. I ended up asking for a plain glass of wine to add to the sangria because it was to sweet. But it was still lovely
We decided to go with tapas so we order 4 things. First was the sea bugs. Then the grilled octopus, then the muscles and then the garlic prawns.
The sea bugs where very subtle in flavour and where cold but supper fresh!
Then we had the octopus my partner loved them. He loved the aioli sauce it came with.
Then we had the muscle because they where a little less full on then the prawns. The muscles where supper fresh very tomato and garlic flavour.
The garlic prawns was full of garlic with a hint of chilli spice I totally loved this one.
My partner and I looked at each other and said we are still a bit hungry so then we decided to order the grilled chicken tenderloins and the meat balls. We liked these but we though it wasn’t the wow factor like the other dishes so we decided to order one more dish.
We decided on the lamb cutlets but they where out of stock. So My partner decided to order the chorizo and prawn and it was amazing. It reminded me of a boscaiola sauce. But the flavour from the Chorizo gave it the wow facto, I could also taste a little flavour of paprika. It was amazing
I highly recommend this place! Don’t let the bad reviews make you change your mind I...
