Luigi's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Torquay

My partner and I are staying here for the weekend at the local resort, thought we would head down to see the night life and stumbled across this beautiful restaurant, they were closing up for the night as we approached the door and the owner greeted us with a smile and said "go on in, guys" "we are closing for the night but if you hurry, we can squeeze you in". And introduced himself to us as the owner. We reluctantly walked in as we didn't want to cause any troubles by keeping their doors open, but SO GLAD we chose to take him up on the offer and take a seat. WOW! What a meal, 10/10. By far the best meal I have ever eaten out, and I'm a big fan of restaurant culture and food. I had the pleasure of having the chicken risotto, with mushrooms. Huge portion, beautifully presented and delicious. My partner had the spaghetti and meatballs, again huge portion, gorgeous presentation and couldn't take the smile of enjoyment off her face. She even took the leftovers back to the resort! Would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to fill their bellies and actually feel like they have spent their money on something worth every cent. Wish there was a restaurant of this quality back home. Couldn't be happier, and so grateful for the welcoming hospitality. Thank you Luigi's Italian restaurant, Torquay. Why has no-one told me about this place before??? We were recently tipped off about this restaurant's food but after being there loved the food,wine, service and atmosphere, very friendly place. Not just a restaurant, we noticed you can get lovely pizzas as well next door if you want. (we tried some as starters) But dig into the menu ... we can vouch for the Mussels and Seafood Linguine for sure ( but I have my eye on the spaghetti Carbonara for next time). You won't be disappointed I think.

3 weeks later OK guys we went back to Luigi's last night with different people in our party. Everything I said about our first visit stills stands and the different people with us agree! I was back for the Carbonara .... and it didn't disappoint. It's a great Spaghetti Carbonara. However the real show stealer tonight was the Duck Ravioli, now that's an award winning dish that tastes superb 👌. For me two other meals I can now vouch for are the prawn entre, it's very tasty and to top things off I ordered the Tiramissu. Whoever makes this does a fantastic job, thank you whoever you are!! 2nd visit and the meals were as good as the first. We will be back...

Well here it is l am a man of his word when credit is due been meaning to do this for while now if you like fine dining, quality Italian cuisine luigi's will not disapoint it is up there in my appinion with the best l've had to date, your meals come out fast, hot and beautifully presented chef style and the taste well l need say no more, the owner luigi's is always checking over every meal and customer to make sure everything is perfect l'd say he is ocd in that respect that shows me he is passionate and caring to make sure your experience is well enjoyed in every aspect we've been many times and can't fault anything! recently we had my daughters 30th birthday dinner there with 25 of us the attention to detail and attendance of staff making sure everything went perfect did not go unnoticed! I highly recommend for anyone to try luigi's Italian restaurant you will not be disappointed with anything your order also make sure you leave room for desert you will be in for a treat trust me!
