Poor customer service, incorrect order and cold food

I normally steer clear of this Maccas, but tonight I thought I’d give it a go.

When I went through the drive-through the girl serving me was very cold and rushed. She didn’t ask what sauces I wanted and just assumed my order.

When I paid, the same girl pulled the card machine away from me, so I had no idea if the purchase had gone through. Meanwhile, she just stood there staring at me blankly and waiting for me to keep driving. I didn’t know what was going on.

The same girl came around to the collection window and handed me my food before shutting the door. There was no ‘have a good night’ or anything. Just handed me the food in silence and closed the door.

As I started driving off, I noticed that my drink was just over half-way filled. I couldn’t be bothered to turn around, so I drove home.

When I got home, I saw that they had given me a burger with cheese when I requested no cheese (it’s even on the docket).

I called McDonald’s up to inform them of their mistake and to let them know I would be driving back for a refund. The manager on the phone did not apologise, not even once. Instead, he tried to justify why my drink was only half filled.

When I went back, the manager didn’t say anything to me. No apology. No nothing.

I can’t believe that a manager who is meant to be their face of customer service couldn’t even apologise or speak to me like a human. All he did was ask me to tap my card, put in my pin and that was it.

It was more than clear to me that the manager and staff at this McDonal’d can’t be bothered and don’t care at all for customers.

This McDonald’s has a very poor reputation with locals and for good reason. I would urge everyone to stay away.

I used to work here back in the day and after what I’ve seen, I can’t believe I even attempted to eat here again. When I worked there, the buns were stored under chairs and people used them as cushions. I also had a manager open a can of rat poison in the dry foods section.

All I’ll say is, for a good greasy feed, go to the new KFC down the road. The workers there are unreal, the food is always hot and your order is never wrong.

I will never return to this McDonald’s and will ensure that my friends and family don’t either.

Can’t stress this...

Ordered 2 ham,cheese, tomato toastie's on Easter Sunday,what I got was warm bread that wasn't toasted and missing the tomato! I went back through the drive through where I had ordered them from and showed the young man the ham and cheese toastie minus the toast and tomato! The young man was shocked and called the manager... The manager came to the window with an attitude problem!!!! He tried to blame me for not noticing that the young man hadn't put tomato on my order!! He also acted very condescending and telling me that there were two screens that I should have looked at!! I told him it was not my fault as I was reaching into my handbag to get a card to pay for my order!! The main issue for me was that my toasted sandwiches had not been toasted, I told him I hope you have words with the people who did this, he didn't say anything, I proceeded to ask him are you the manager and he said he was I then went on to tell him that not once did he apologise to me and that he handled this situation disgracefully!! He also carried on about reimbursing my money ,I wanted to be paid in cash as I couldn't remember my pin number,he turned it into such a drama stating I paid by card so I have to have it reimbursed onto my card!!! Anyway I couldn't remember my pin number and finally got my money back,this man who calls himself a manager had the most appalling attitude coupled with no people...

We went to McDonalds Torquay,

it was dirty food all over the floor and tables. I went up to ask for a cloth to clean the table so I could sit and eat food with my family, I was happy to just clean the table myself. The Girls that served me looked at me like I was being unreasonable and then she came out herself and instead of clean the table My family was waiting to sit at, she cleaned every other dirty table in the restaurant, even though she could see that we were waiting to sit with our food. I asked her again she told me she was getting there and ignored me further, my husband ask her and she smiled and just kept cleaning other tables. I went up to the counter and spoke with the Manager, call me a Karen if you want but this was rude. I explained the situation and that I was happy to wipe the table myself, we just wanted somewhere clean to sit and eat our food. The Manager said that it had been busy but that he would talk to the crew member concerned. He did, obviously it was amusing as they were chatting behind the counter and having a laugh. The crew member came back out and continued on with their work with a giant smirk on her face.

If you ate at any other cafe this level of uncleanliness would not have been acceptable. Clearly low standards of hygiene are acceptable in fast food chains.

And we only went for the nuggets because kids begged. It was a mistake going, one we will not...
