Fisherman’s Wharf Seafood Cafe in Ulladulla offers a dining experience that’s hard to beat for location. Situated right by the harbour, you can’t get much closer to the water.
The ambience is a refreshing change from the typical wharf cafe, providing a unique atmosphere that stands out. The staff are friendly and welcoming, contributing to a pleasant dining experience.
However, cleanliness could use some improvement. The team appeared quite busy, attending to table cleaning when they had the chance. On the upside, service is impressively quick, ensuring you won’t be left waiting long for your meal.
The meal portions are just right. I opted for the Fish and Chips with salad, choosing the Barramundi. They offer a variety of catch-of-the-day options. I’d recommend spending an extra dollar for a healthier preparation, as the standard battered fish tends to be quite oily.
Overall, Fisherman’s Wharf Seafood Cafe provides a nice experience if you can get a table with a view that is clean with room for minor...
Read moreHave read an earlier review about the terrible service and the owners reply was that they have someone with a disability working there serving. Have just been to the place and honestly, the guy on the counter couldn’t have been less interested in providing good service. I did initially think that he might be retarded because he was staring off into the corner of the room whilst we ordered. But then managed to answer questions (begrudgingly) when we asked, so perhaps not retarded after all! Slapped the drink down on the counter, slapped the tartare sauce down on the counter. Didn’t smile or say thank you, or any form of normal polite service type responses. When we picked up our meals we asked if they had been salted - 6 fish pieces and a serve of salt and pepper squid with chips and salad - yes was the answer. Outcome was yes, chips salted and no fish pieces were not. Had to ask for a fork to eat our takeaway salad with - the guy looked like he wanted to stab me in the throat with it - I felt relieved...
Read moreThis is my first time for a 1 star review for a food experience. Staff is embarrassingly unwelcoming and rude. Food was average, no reason for a premium compare to other locations. Plus it took 45 minutes to come (at 2pm, not peak hours...). Never again
In response to the owner - apologies, I just saw your reply now.
I appreciate it was a busy day, but this is not an excuse for people being rude to customers that are happily supporting local businesses in this tricky time. In terms of food, we had oysters, they were good. All the other meals, grilled fish, calamari and normal fish and chips, were average as per original comment. I would like to emphasize the fact that having someone serving your table saying "I will just leave all the orders here and you guys sort this out" without explaining what the meals are, and being annoyed from people asking questions, is not what you expect from...
