Thank you for our meal. Although tastey & fancey food, i must be honest here. The prices compared to what you actually got is ridiculous in my opinion. We ordered the Buffalo Mozzarella. Kinda expecting something we could share together before our main meal came out only to have a thin slice of stone bread that was about the size of a business card smothered in pesto with a layering of Mozzarella ontop for.... 20 bucks!!!! Really, I'm sorry but this is just not enough from a fine dining experience. When our meals turned up it was one piece of steak ontop of a sauce. Thats it, no vegies, no salad, no nothing, just a thin piece of steak for 40 bucks! You have to order your individual vegetables separately. Sprouts $9.... baby potatoes $9.... etc all separately & all individually priced which blows up the overall price of the meal stupidly. I won't complain about the taste of the food but this pricing is a concern. After spending $150 for a meal that would fit on one plate easily is unjustified in my/our option. We left the restaurant actually hungry still. And the cheek to ask us 'leaving so soon?' We were genuinely wanting to say. 'where's the rest of the food that was supposed to be on the plate was'? I'm sorry but Ulladulla is not a place for this type...
Read moreFrom the moment we walked into Harbour House, we were warmly welcomed by the loveliest staff who were so friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our entire visit. The service alone made the experience exceptional! Nothing was too much trouble, and every interaction felt genuine.
The restaurant itself has a vibrant and cozy atmosphere, with a unique charm that instantly makes you feel relaxed. Learning about the history behind Harbour House made us appreciate the venue even more. It’s filled with character and soul.
We enjoyed the steak and lamb mains, and they were absolutely cooked to perfection! Tender, flavourful, and beautifully presented. We also sampled all of the sides (yes, all of them!), and each one was delicious, not a single bite was left on our plates. Every dish showcased quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation.
What really impressed us was the exceptional value for the high quality of food, the menu is so reasonably priced. It’s rare to find a place that delivers such high end dining at accessible prices.
Whether you’re local or just passing through, Harbour House is a dining experience you must have. Honestly, it’s worth travelling for. We can’t...
Read moreGenerally disappointed mainly by the food. For the price point we expected higher quality, depth of flavour etc.
Mains - Lamb was cooked well but the jus was a bit uninspired. Risotto was ok but lacked any complexity of flavour. Fish (John dory) was cooked well with a pleasant sauce.
Sides - Generally very poor quality. Carrots, some under cooked and no evidence of sesame or honey. Potato's, bland and dry. Did not seem to be cooked with duck fat or seasoned. Asparagus, cooked but no real seasoning. Purple sprouts, they weren't purple not a major issue but overpriced for the quality.
Service - Upfront about delays, friendly staff. They seemed very busy, totally understandable.
Drinks - Margarita's where excellent.
Atmosphere - We ended up waiting for our table (understandable, Saturday night) so we were brought to the lounge which was a very pleasant space.
The room we where seated in for our meal was very smokey, from the kitchen. Possibly a little mishap in there, it did air eventually but it...
