Weāve been regulars at Subway Ulverstone for the past four years. While our earlier experiences were a bit hit or miss, things have significantly improved since Carter took over.
The change is clear ā the store is consistently clean, welcoming, and well-run. Carter and his team are always incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely take pride in what they do. You can really tell by the way they prepare each sandwich with care. The ingredients always look fresh, and the bread is soft and full of flavour every time.
Although itās a bit disappointing that thereās no toaster available, the team still manages to make every visit enjoyable and delicious. What really stands out is the positive energy Carter brings ā even on a flat day, a visit to this store is guaranteed to lift your mood. His sense of humour and customer care are top-notch.

When we walked in, there was only one young staff member working, completely alone, clearly overwhelmed, and visibly distressed. She was crying while trying to serve customers during a busy rush.
No place of business should ever allow a single employee, especially a young person, to work completely by themselves. This is not only unfair but a serious health and safety concern. Anything could happen, whether itās a medical emergency, an aggressive customer, or even just the mental and emotional toll of being overworked and unsupported.
It was genuinely upsetting to see someone so young struggling to hold everything together with no backup. She deserves better. All workers do.
