Hot Spot Take-Away — Restaurant in Victor Harbor

We had the worst experience at this café over the weekend. One of the waitresses reacted quite aggressively when I asked if she could make a coffee for a friend just a few minutes before the café closed. My friend had a 2-year-old child with her, and our kids were sitting nearby when the waitress became very hostile, saying my friend needed to be quicker as they were closing. When I asked the waitress why she was being rude, she continued raising her voice, repeating that they were closing and my friend had to hurry up.

Things escalated when the waitress noticed I was using my phone to complete this review. She started yelling and swearing in front of the children. My friend then took out her phone, in case we needed to call the police. At that point, the waitress became even more aggressive, accusing us of revording her.

I also requested the manager’s phone number to file a formal complaint, but didn't give me the number. This was incredibly disturbing and unprofessional behaviour from someone in hospitality.

Do not go to this café, especially if you have children, as the staff’s rudeness could ruin your holidays and time at...

I went shopping with my elderly father that is a regular at this cafe. He had to do a few things and I give him his space and time to do whatever he needs. I got lunch from Woolworths.. because hot spots food is not what I’d say is pleasant.. so I brought a drink from there shop as I like to support local business, I sat down at the furthest table ( that no one was sitting at at a slow time of the day) got most of the way through my lunch.. and was told by the same bloody person that sold me the drink.. that I couldn’t sit down and eat my lunch and gave me a move on order.. I supported there business.. and as a CUSTOMER… go told I can sit and drink or eat when there was 5 free tables by the same guy that sold me the drink.. I am very disappointed. I told my father and he refuses to go to this shop anymore.. and unfortunately for them.. I used to take all of my clients there.. for meetings or just lunch.. and I will never again support this business.. the behaviour of the workers is atrocious.. would not suggest going here purely because how rude...

Sat down for a coffee and to feed my son before driving back to Adelaide. Asked a girl for a little hot water to heat a bottle. She obliged but was belittled in front of me for doing so by dark hair barista with glasses … “ don’t you ever do that again” were her words. Fair enough if that’s the policy … although I don’t see the problem considering people would get take away cups with boiling water for black teas etc.. but if there is an issue perhaps a quiet word out the back would be a better alternative. She embarrassed the poor employee by making those remarks in front of everyone and also made a mum handling a young baby alone feel awkward. Judging on another review recently perhaps all families with babies...
