We attended this restaurant as it was recommended based on dietary needs for a family member. We arrived around 2:15 and ordered over $50 worth of food. Our 2 small children needed the toilet, it was raining and cold outside when we were advised that we would have to walk quite a distance to find public ones. We had to take it turns whilst waiting for the food. Just as we sat down to eat, the owners son came up to us and told us we had to leave as they were closing. When we tried to explain that it would have been nice to have been advised of this before ordering. Riley proceeded to keep pointing to a sign with the opening hours. I explained that we hadn’t seen this, that it was freezing outside and due to road works there wasn’t even a place to sit. He explained that this was not his problem. After I again tried to explain that it was poor to take our money and then kick us out, he went to grab the sign from the counter to put in my face. At this point I requested to see his manager, his mother came out. There was no effort to fix the situation in fact she looked at us with a smug look whilst her son stood behind her laughing at us. This was the worst dining experience that we have ever experienced. How hard was it to give us an extra 10 minutes to eat. They were only closing to clean before opening again at 4:30. Manners...
Read moreBeing gluten and lactose intolerant this cafe was recommended for it's menu options. It was raining and the Grandchildren needed the toilet. No toilet available, so I had to go to another shop to request a key. We arrived at 2:15pm and was unaware the place closed at 2:30. The total order was over $40 and we sat down to eat. We had opened the fish and chips and I had gone back to the counter to request some lemon. I was charged 50c for an eight of a slice of lemon and after opening our drinks a very young Manager came to the table and asked us to leave as the shop was closing at 2.30pm. My Daughter pointed out that we could have been advised at the time of our order being taken that the shop was closing instead of taking our money and watching us settle down to eat. The 17 year old then preceded to pick up the closing at 2.30pm sign and show it to my Daughter who then asked to speak to the Owner. The 17 year old then called his Mother and was laughing at my Daughter while moving to the back of the shop. I then had to shout at him for his rudeness. Worst customer service I have ever experienced and having owned a business, would never have treated paying clients in such a disrespectful way. That may be how you speak to teenagers, to move them on from the pin ball machine, but it was extremely disappointing. Certainly won't...
Read moreI've now had to change my review after my last experience unfortunately. After not being able to preorder over the phone as they weren't answering, I had to go in to order. This is how I noticed all the unhygienic practices that are going on here. My burger was made with no gloves by one of the guys who I just watched touch X amount of different surfaces without washing them first before touching food. Only one of the guys had gloves on but he touched everything with those gloves also including the cash till and the phone to answer it 🤦🏻♀️ I also witnessed one of them cutting open boxes with the large kitchen knife used to cut food 😶 after all this I was also served a spring roll that was near black and left a thick layer of oil residue in my mouth. My daughter had a similar problem with hers a few days back. The oil is old in the fryers and desperately needs changing. The hamburgers are tasty but small for $12.5 and I wouldn't bother now I know how they're being made. The chips are also as dry as an old boot. Very...
