Matcha Garden — Restaurant in Victoria Park

I ordered 4 scoop of ice cream - hojicha, matcha, strong matcha, and black sesame. Matcha pudding, black sesame latte, and hojicha mont blanc.

Their products taste are so so. It isn't worth it for me to go there again.

Ice cream, I think the normal matcha is the best, creamy. Hojicha ❌️ can't taste the tea favour, black sesame not strong black sesame taste, taste like cookie and cream, the strong matcha is not creamy enough compared with the normal matcha.

Black sesame latte, it's OK, nothing special. It's just to use a black sesame powder to make it.

I think the matcha pudding syrup is a bit too bitter and too strong, I think putting less syrup will taste a bit better or put the syrup beside instead of put on the pudding. So that customer can do that by themselves. Honestly, the pudding is so so, nothing really special. It's not worth it for the price.

Hojicha Mont Blanc is a terrible dessert I ever had. Sour and not sweet, I can't taste the tea favour. I'm not sure it is going bad.

I also attempted to order the black sesame pudding and matcha choux. However, the staff said they didn't make the filling, so they can't provide. And black sesame pudding also.

By that time, I ordered food, but it was not busy. But I still need to wait for around 20 to 25 mins for all the food. I don’t think it’s make sense. The staff said they making a drink, but they can give me the pudding and ice cream first. The staff said I ordered too much. It'll take longer. But all the ice cream and pudding already made, why can't they just provide what they are ready to provide to customer instead of having to give everything to customers? I request them whatever is ready. Just give me first. I feel the staff ignored what I said and didn't feel they cared about me even though I ordered a lot of food. That's the main reason I won’t go back. Bad customer service. And almost...

Very Disappointing Experience

I visited Matcha Garden Café for the first time, excited to try their desserts, but the experience was extremely disappointing.

We ordered a Matcha Puff (pointing at the display fridge), but were served a Matcha Tart instead. When we immediately pointed this out, the staff refused to take responsibility and even blamed another colleague. Later, she tried to excuse herself by saying the desserts had “different prices,” only to admit later that the prices were the same.

What’s worse, the staff kept insisting that we ordered the tart, which was absolutely not true. This kind of denial, blame-shifting, and unprofessional attitude completely ruined our visit.

In the end, we had to pay extra just to get the dessert we actually ordered, while being forced to accept the wrong one we didn’t want.

This shows zero professionalism, zero customer care, and absolutely no accountability. I will never return and will not recommend this...

Ordered 2 takeaway drinks, one was a hot matcha ($4.5) and the other was iced with oat milk ($6.1), and somehow the price came to $13 instead of $10.60…

Then the drinks came out and the cups were only 3/4 full. And they tasted nothing like matcha. Definitely the worst drinks we ever tasted it was like drinking chemicals mixed with water. Couldn’t even taste the milk. And the colours didn’t match each other either the iced one was dark green and the hot one was light green looking. How can you mess up everything? Not to mention they were out of all desserts by 7:45 even though they opened at 6 with practically no other customers in the cafe.

The kitchen workers attitude towards the cashier were also quite rude and impatient which made me feel really bad for her. Im sorry but we definitely wont be...
