Beautiful little café offering an actual authentic British breakfast with THE BEST black pudding.

We had the full Scottish breakfast and smashed avo on toast, with two lattés.

The coffees were smooth and delicious. The smashed avo on toast really didn't skimp on the avocado; the meal was completely satisfying, and comes accompanied with the most delicious scrambled eggs.

The full Scottish had everything you can expect to find in a British fry-up - cooked to perfection. The stand out was the black pudding, sourced from a butcher. Far out it was delicious, rich and flavourful, and they very kindly brought us an extra slice when they saw how much we enjoyed it.

Gorgeous decor inside, such a cosy little café. For history buffs, the building is part of an old bakery, and there's a massive, stunning baker's oven at the back that's really worth a look.

The staff are the icing on the cake, so welcoming and hospitable.

Give this a try and you will not be...

Whilst strolling leisurely with my beloved, we chanced upon a quaint café, and, with appetites gently roused, ventured within. The establishment, though small—quite bijou—possessed a warm, inviting air, its few tables and window sofa evoking a country manor’s parlour, the walls whispering cheerful tales.

The fare proved most pleasing: I took a breakfast toastie with a bold long black, accented by a grilled tomato for decorum. My lady, ever refined, selected Eggs Benedict and an iced latte, deeming it civilised despite the brisk day. Service was swift, courteous, and portions generously ample for the modest price.

We departed sated, resolved...

Come here for coffee all the time, hands down, it's always great. However, I'd like to make a little suggestion. Please use table numbers, just so there's no confusion, waited a long time for our coffees, were given other peoples' food. Attention to detail as well as sense of urgency, very important. Poor staff members were running around with people's orders like headless chooks, not knowing who's order was whose. In the process, the food gets cold and unpleasant. Table numbers, Labels, anything would help. Having said that, Food and Coffees were...

2 months into new Management with progress and hard work starting to pay off for the new Owner's. I had a latte in a glass thank goodness & my Lady love had a small flat white. So you are aware previous to the change of Management we didn't like the coffee but this time we were pleasantly surprised & pleased with our coffee's. The only thing missing was the absence of yummy cakes and biscuits but I was informed this will happen soon. Good luck new Owner's and I would recommend a visit to try 😊
