I usually don't like posting negative feedback but on this Occassion my disappointment was an all time high, we were super hungry and wanted middle eastern cuisine so Petra was the only place around my area open till mid night so im like yeh ive never been there before so ill give it a try, pictures of the menu looked promising, i ordered a mixed platter & a Charcoal Chicken plate, first of all i don't mind paying top dollar for good tasting food but man i have never felt so ripped off, the quantity of the meat was the smallest i have ever seen on any mixed platter, tiny diced up chicken on skewers and the same thing with the meat, the kebabs were the thinnest i have ever seen on a platter, very small portion, secondly the meat and chicken was sooo soo salty also felt like i was eating table spoons of salt, super gross, i was petrified with the taste of food, then came the charcoal chicken the half chicken didn't look like a half chicken it felt like it was the smallest piece of quarter chicken, it was absolutely tasteless, i understand the cost of everything is gone up but should customers whom you depend on be ripped off? Atleast give people their moneys worth, fair you charge more but give people the amount they deserve. I could not say ill be coming back anytime soon unless you be fair to your customers It doesn't give me an option to respond to your message so im typing it here, first of all i don't like the fact that you had to feel the need to view your CCTV to see whom it was that gave you a bad review, most people would not be cool with that, its almost invasion of privacy, whatever issues i had, i posted it on the review, the last time i tried to confront a restaurant owner about how horrible the food was he started to fight me almost wanting to punch me, so that i am not comfortable with, hence why google review was invented so everyone can get an honest opinion, i am not the type to leach off the owner for a free meal because thats not what this is about, its wrong, i can very well afford an expensive meal but when you pay the dollar you expect taste and value which in this was not the case, thanks for the offer but i thats not what i want, however i would love for you to work on the taste of the food as well as the quantity people pay for, if you didn't notice i did give 5stars for the service your workers provided and as well as 5stars for the atmosphere because they both were great, the quality & quantity of the food would have made it 20/10 review, i hope i am not judged by my honest opinion, wish you nothing but the best for ur business.

A it's fully halal and a family run business specialising in Palestinian cuisine. Spicy Cauliflower It was so warm and homely but different and new at the same time, super tasteful. The cauliflower wasn't hard or mushy and was perfectly spiced. The sauce was warm and welcoming and the perfect combination with the cauliflower. It was also very visually appealing with nice colours too - would definitely recommend it!!! Chicken Shawarma The pieces were a perfect size and the chicken was cooked so well - not oily at all. The bread was crisp and soft. The pickles inside and the coleslaw and garlic dip on the side complimented the dish so so well. Very evident that the dish is freshly made. Chicken Muskan The chicken was so succulent and juicy and just fell off the bone. It was so flavoursome and wholesome. The flatbread was unlike I've ever had - the spices and olive mixed with the chicken felt like a warm hug ♡ combined with the raw sliced tomatoes on the side was this amazing flavour combination I would highly recommend to everyone! Tahini Kufta Whilst this dish was a bit strong for my liking, it was definitely cooked very well. The meat wasn't hard or overcooked at all and the tahini gave an almost cheese-like taste and texture. While it wasn't up my alley, I can definitely see the appeal! Rice and Sides I always judge restaurants by the quality of their rice and all I can say is that I wish I got more!! The rice was absolutely lovely and very flavoursome! The dips were a lovely compliment to the meal and nice to have on their own too. You can definitely tell it's been homemade with love. Very generous serving sizes too. The bread wasn't tough either and warm when we got it which I enjoyed and appreciated. Notes on the Restaurant One thing I really appreciated was the accessibility elevator in the store. The restaurant is quite large and has an upper section that is accessible by a wheelchair lift. The restaurant is quite clean with nice solid and clean menus too. The prices are reasonable with lots of things on offer. The wait time wasn't long either! All the meals were beautifully presented. It is situated in a bustling area close to lots of parking spots too. I really enjoyed my visit! The food was very authentic - recipes passed down through the family, shared amongst friends and neighbours. A solid 5/5.

Came here for the first time with some friends as we're making our rounds trying new places and the food didn't disappoint! Authentic Jordanian food and the restaurant is decorated with some nice pictures and ceramics displaying Petra and Wadi Rum which really made me want to go to Jordan as it's in my bucket list so hopefully I can get there one day soon!🤞Anyway, one of us ordered the Shooqaf lamb with fries, and the rest of us ordered the Shish Tawooq (chicken skewers) with rice/fries/bread. I had it with rice cos I love rice and always love to try different kinds of rice. And I also know in middle eastern cuisine, rice is always cooked in a very different way with aromatic spices. And I absolutely loved the rice here!!! I could definitely taste all the spices and it came in HUGE portion too! 😉 Of course the chicken was the other highlight! Tender and fragrant...I wish they gave us more hehe. I also really enjoyed the bread. So yeah...it's safe to say I finished it all and was very full! 😆 And so worth the money! My friend said she liked the lamb and the bread too. Then, we tried the Arabic icecream. NOW THIS...OMG!!! I absolutely love10x pistachios so I could absolutely eat 10 slices of that icecream! 🥹 They also gave us complimentary teas with the icecream which was very nice. The only thing to note: it's a long wait for the food so you need to be patient and you won't be disappointed. Also service wise...the staff are really nice and friendly and the owner also came out to say hello and check on us, but... throughout our meal, it's a bit hard to find the staff when we had to request for things cos either they're not around or busy with something else. It's not a biggie cos I was aware they might be understaffed. Oh and also they got the order for one of my friends wrong. She ordered the Shish Tawooq with fries but was given rice. And when I told the staff, she said to my friend that she could have the rice and she would tell the kitchen to cook the fries...but it never came 😆 and it's only after the owner came out to say hello and I asked him again, the fries came. Again, it's not a biggie. I still enjoyed the food and would love to come back to have that icecream again and to try the other food and dessert (Kunafa, I have my eyes on you! 😁)
