Dined here on Boxing Day with guests from out of town. I had booked a table for 9 of us in early December and confirmed a couple of times prior to the day Arrived 10 minutes early and our table was not ready so we patiently waited while it was cleaned and set Our order for coffees was taken at 9.10am, food order at 9.15am Our coffee order was brought in 2 at a time in between seeing other coffee go to other tables. At 10.30 the last of our coffees were brought to the table but only after we had been out to ask for them twice! What can I say! The service was VERY slow, we waited so long after sitting down for someone to come to our table, and it wasn't even busy. It was early Sunday morning and there were not many people there. After we finally ordered, they finally came back to our table to tell us that the dish I ordered was not even available! It had been so long that we thought that they were bringing our food to our table....but no! So we tried to order Fruit Toast as a last resort, and then once the waiter finally understood after much explaining what it was, they disappeared again, came back a little while later and said that it was $15 for three slices. We were shocked at the price and politely declined the toast, and just ended up ordering 2 Coffees. Even if the food was good, which it wasn't, it was difficult to enjoy the experience due to the huge number of flies constantly annoying you. We spent several hours inside the RSL and didn't see a single fly inside. Cannot understand why there were so many inside the Food Store. Ordered the omelette and a toasted ham and cheese sandwich along with a coffee and OJ. The coffee and OJ came out after 5 mins then there was another 20 mins wait for the food. Had to send back the toastie because it was hardly toasted. Meanwhile the coffee was rather cold by then. When it arrived a second time it certainly wasn't filled with ingredients.
