Bean Squeeze Mercer St — Restaurant in Victoria

I don't often buy coffee because as good as it can be in Australia, you still encounter baristas who hear "flat white" and serve me a latte or cappuccino. Or they hand-temp the milk jug (which is an OHS issue anyway) or give you the last person's leftover milk so that your coffee is well, well under 63°. Like, a flat white is just a no froth coffee. And I rarely go to new places because at $6 a pop, mostly, getting a lukewarm latte instead of a hot flat white is disheatening and I don't have the cahunas to demand a reorder or refund; I just never go back and do these mostly ineffectual reviews. Such is life. I will be going back to Bean Squeeze. The friendly lady made me a perfectly hot flat white. I'm writing this review 20 minutes later and my coffee is still hot. Just what the doctor ordered for a Monday at 650am. Excuse long story to begin with but it's just how I experience any coffee shop. This is our regular stop on the way to the beach house. Good quick service and heaps of in-car snack options. The toasted chicken and cheese sandwich is awesome. Also, we love the white chocolate raspberry muffins and protein balls. One annoying thing is we usually order heaps and you would think this would be a good thing for their business..but a couple of the girls seem to be annoyed and keep impatiently asking "is there anything else" after each item I order another item. I went there for a hot chocolate with my partner who got a hot chocolate and toastie before we started our long trip home (1pm 28-05-23). The customer service was phenomenal, so lovely and warm. Both employees were smiling and caring, even asking if we wanted the toastie cut. They had worked while speaking to us and others in the drive thru. And the HC we received tasted fantastic!
