I never thought I would have to write a negative review however after tonight's absolutely appalling and disgraceful experience I feel I have no choice but to. My wife, 7 month old son and I were driving past Favourite Flavours and as it was 41 degrees we decided to pull over and get some gelato. The young girl that served us was very pleasant and helpful when making our selection of 3 favours each for my wife and i as we both ordered a large cup. We found a table and set up our son in the stores high chair (which was absolutely filthy, yet the cleaner of the 2 available). After taking 1 scoop of gelato from our cups the presumed owner of the store came up to us and told us that we had to leave within 3 minutes as they closing up and didn't want us to "get a shock" when he would ask us to leave again after the time was up. Mind you he saw us arrive, place the order and settle in. He then proceeded to recommend we sit in a park across the road on a park bench which was not in shade. Who in hell asks a customer who has just spent money in their store to leave so abruptly? Especially when they have 7 month year old infant with them and are eating ICECREAM on a 41 DEGREE day? My wife and I were absolutely shocked and regrettably agreed to leave immediately as we didn't want to cause a stir infront our child. We proceeded to the park as we had no other option or place to eat (other than the car which we did not want to dirty). By the time we reached the park bench our gelato had melted all over our hands, clothes and son who we were holding in our arms. It was a very uncomfortable experience and we only lasted a few minutes before getting up, throwing our cups out and and leaving. Our son was crying by this stage due to the heat exposure. We hadn't even got though 1/5 of our cups. Upon returning to our car which was parked right in front of the store, we saw he owner inside standing around not doing much at all.... He could have let us stay a few more minutes and enjoy our gelato. It is very very frustrating that someone is happy to take your money and then completely disrespect you. If the owner happens to read this: I'm sure the success of your business is equivalent the level of customer service you provide you customers.... And that's non existent. Do yourself a favour peeps- if you feel like gelato in Bendigo, pull over into a service station and buy an icy pole.... You will get much more satisfaction! And as for the gelato- it had ice blocks visible throughout all 6 flavours which is characteristic of old or poorly made/inconsistent gelato. The pavlova flavour tasted like it had a burnt ingredient in it and we barely tasted the rest..... Thank god! Avoid this store...

We visited the cafĂ© with our parents who were visiting us from Nepal, and we were all instantly impressedânot just by the delicious food, but by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and made our parents feel right at home, which meant a lot to us.
Their milkshakes are absolutely amazingâthick, creamy, and bursting with flavour. The house-made ice cream is a standout too, with each scoop tasting fresh and full of personality. Itâs a dessert loverâs paradise.
The café also offers fantastic breakfast and lunch options, with generous portions and top-quality ingredients. Whether you're after a comforting brunch or a quick lunch after a walk by the lake, there's something for everyone.
One of the unexpected highlights was their in-house gherkin pickleâcrunchy, tangy, and perfectly seasoned. It added the perfect zing to our meals and is honestly addictive on its own.
With great food, warm hospitality, and a lovely lakeside setting, Favourite Flavours truly lives up to its name. Highly recommended for locals and...
Read moreWow! The in-store made ice cream here is a flavor explosion! They also offer a great selection of smoothies, sandwiches, and other goodies. I was blown away by the aromatic Musk and the sweet, tangy White Chocolate Raspberry on my first visit. The texture of the ice cream was so smooth and creamy. My second trip was equally impressive with the decadent Gaytime, the crunchy Biscoff, and the rich Rocky Road. The staff were patient and kind, letting us sample multiple flavors until we found our perfect match. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were evident...
