Ordered a pizza online tonight for delivery only to receive a text saying order ready instore. This was confusing so I rang to ask what it's about to have my call taken by Juliette the owner who proceeded to tell me that someone rang earlier stating my address had changed it to pick up. I insisted I had not made such a call and was concerned my details had been been shared improperly. Juliette became dismissive and rude, not bothering to hear my concern and tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. She was condescending calling me "darl" which I did not appreciate as I am a paying customer not a mate at the pub. In future, be more respectful when a customer calls to tell you something is not right, especially when they think their privacy has been breached. Edit-when the pizza was delivered I asked the driver to pass on some feedback only to be met with utter disdain and again being dismissed as she claimed to have been present when i made the enquiry. She was lippy and absolutely disgusting. Not an ounce of professionalism. Gobsmacked and disappointed. These people need a good dose of...
Read moreThe pizza was average. Base was OK, sauce was nice, not enough cheese on the bottom to hold it all together, ham was the typical processed stringy type, anchovies were nice, as were the olives. A good start but certainly needs to step up a bit considering there's a lot of places offering pizza these days.
Regarding customer service. So I sat and waited for my pizza. While sitting there, I had to listen to the lady owner telling one of her employees to tell the customer on the phone that rice costs $2 and cheese costs $120. This was in response to the phone customer suggesting that a Chinese store offered a service that Luciano's doesn't. And she kept going on and on and on about it for the next ten minutes.
It's none of my business what you offer and how much it costs. The fact is, DON'T carry on like that in front of customers, and secondly, DON'T place your employees in a position where they become the meat in the sandwich to deal with your exploits.
3 stars for the average pizza. Minus 2 stars for customer service and...

Luchiano's Pizza in Bendigo is a true gem. They treat their staff very well, in turn the food is cooked to perfection and the staff are always happy to assist and crack really funny jokes. It's a whole experiencing ordering there and waiting for your pizza to be cooked (if you don't mind the wait time, cause I don't see them having down times on weekends).
A warning for anyone picking up their food: this place is a delectable driving hazard! I had to fight the urge to devour my pizza before even getting home. The 10-minute drive was pure torture for a foodie like me.
Everything about this place exudes excellence. No wonder their shelves and walls are lined with certificates/awards — it’s not just about the food; it’s the whole experience. AND the smell matches the...
