Don't really like writing reviews like this as someone who worked in the industry I normally just feel disappointed and move on. But My experience at the ritz was very disappointing. After looking at resturants to take my partner for a celebration for finishing uni I come across the ritz website, looking at the menu displayed online decided to book a table. The menu looked very fine dining and perfect for a celebration. Unfortunately the menu in the resturants only shared to dishes in common with online menu. The menu in the establishment was very basic and more what you'd find at a country pub. Any way we decided we've booked we'll atleast order entrees as we've taken up a table. so we ordered sun dried tomato, capsicum and mozzarella arancini (v) and prawn spring rolls. when the entrees Arrived they were pre cooked prawn twists and Bacon and corn arancini (glad we're not vegetarian). Top 3 meals I have ever had the pleasure to taste in my life. I had wanted something from their old menu that was listed online. That not being available I opted for the pork belly. My goodness it was exquisite. Cooked to perfection. The pork was very lightly and beautifully seasoned, the maple sauce was to die for and the crackling was the best I have ever tasted. I complimented the 2 chefs and they said they were trained by the owber of the restaurant. I've travelled the world and tried many dishes. This was the most unexpected surprise in the most unexpected location. If you ever get the chance, the food and service was impeccable and at a very fair price. I was in Traralgon overnight for work. Great food and service. The pork belly was adequately generous in its portion size, as well as delicious.

If the reader enjoys small servings of $8 chips, this is definitely the place for you! I counted 30 chips in our bowl, and my partner accidentally dropped 2 on the floor! We agreed she now owes me 50c.

The skirting on the side wall is also not moron safe. I urge the owner to make this wall flush to avoid any broken elbows.
